I don't miss the unpredictability of leveling a craft skill in XI ^^;

I do miss, however, the roles each elemental crystal played in relation to the craft you were about to perform. XIV sorta just has a random assortment which you have to hope you have enough of on hand to do what you wish to do and doesn't feel like there's a lot of rhyme or reason for the shard requirements.

I also liked being able to gather or craft on a whim without having to change classes.
