I love how there are so many people who don't respect their healers enough to wait for the healers to do their job and buff the party, but insist that, "Well, if you can't keep up, you shouldn't play as a healer!" Wow. Just wow. Wait, nevermind. This is the forums. These types of responses are to be expected. People claiming that it's inconsiderate for the healer to expect the tank/party to wait for buffs due to someone's "time constraints" as if waiting for an extra 30 seconds is going to really cut in to the amount of time that someone has to play the game.

If you can't spare an extra 30 seconds - 1 min to be courteous to your healer due to "time constraints", I would suggest participating in solo content since apparently being a "team player" isn't on your short list of things to do.

Not trying to be a d*ck, but come on people. Has common courtesy been lost on this generation???

With all of that said, I don't see a problem with a healer simply casting buffs when everyone is working on taking out the first group of trash mobs. There's little chance that, in the time it takes to cast buffs, that the tank is going to be KO'd, and after applying buffs, topping off the tanks hp would be less of an enmity concern and seemingly more appropriate anyway.

You just solved the answer to your own complaint.

Is it silly not waiting 30 seconds for buffs? Yes. But it's far sillier and far pettier to refuse to heal because of it.

Yeah, but I still had to take up for the healers out there who attempt to cast buffs at the start of an instance only to see the tank and everyone else run off as fast as possible. There's no reason to not wait for buffs, but of course I did have to make mention of the common sense approach to buffing an impatient party.

As far as flat out refusing to heal due to people not waiting for buffs, well, that's just childish and immature. If you attempted to buff the party and they ran off, suck it up and buff them during the first trash pull. It's not that big of a deal, especially considering that the same people the OP called into question (high level tanks running the instance for lore) are sync'd down, yes, but they are still over geared and more than able to take some hits while being buffed, and like I also mentioned it's best to let the tank build some enmity before healing the tank anyway.
