Realistically, protect and stoneskin don't even matter in the leveling dungeons because the amount they're going to mitigate is negligible.

I had this same conversation last night. . . Gear also doesn't matter (if you're skilled) but I'd still rather be wearing some when I get attacked than not. Plus, the last thing I would encourage is teaching a leveling healer "defensive buffs don't matter!"

Let's see the same thing fly at higher levels.

Also, I frown upon anyone who wants to play the diva healer/power trip game ("do what I say or I'll let you die"), however, if someone shows a complete unwillingness to meet me halfway or listen to polite request, I'm a staunch advocate for the School of Hard Knocks learning method.
