This has happened to me a couple of times ;o; (In a one year period)df roulette is where you meet the worst of the ff14 community seen so much toxic and impatient behaviour in there over petty stuff :P
heck even last night a healer dced in main roulette run they vote kicked him 3 secs after he dced didnt even give him a chance to relog lmao ._.
I dc (not on purpose of course), come back less than a minute later to find out I was kicked u.u
You don't get a penalty, but I still get sad.

i felt sory for him i was probably only person who didnt vote yes lol really they couldnt give him a few mins to relog??
This does make me mad also, there should be like a 3 min window where you have to wait or something. Cause even a 90k from the server takes like 20 seconds to get back.
If they are level 60 and overgeared and you are in a leveling dungeon, the protect and stoneskin isn't necessary anyway. It would be nice for them to wait for you to apply it, but I wouldn't lose sleep over not being able to do it.I hate to make yet another post about the atrocious behavior in this game, beca use I've made many, but here we go again. I'm training my Astrologian class, and for some reason high leveled tanks keep coming into the lower level dungeons, only for lore. Nothing wrong with that, but they move too fast! I usually have to waste my lightspeed just to give them protect, and stoneskin, and I'm tired of it.
This is a very toxic attitude and one that I wouldn't suggest you embrace as a healer. (Embrace, pun, get it?) Never let someone die out of spite, it's not cool.I feel even worse for saying this, but here's how I have decided to handle it.
First step: I will use a macro, so that everyone knows I'm using shield magic. I will also ask for enough time to cast said magic.
Second step: If they do it again, I'll ask them very nicely to stop pulling too fast.
Third step: I'm just going to let them die. If they complain, I'll just tell them that they are refusing to cooperate with their assigned healer. I let them know with a macro, asked them nicely to stop, and yet they still refused.
There is plenty of time to learn how to play your class in your leveling duties etc. and then practice what you learned in the dungeon. There is very little need to slow down for that effect. Most leveling dungeons don't require much in the way of healing, so you should have plenty of lee-way time to practice. You're not going to get any practice in just sitting there idle, you'll get it after they pull.I want people to know that people are learning their classes in the lower dungeons. They need time for pulls, and to take it at whatever pace the levelers are going for. It is also a period of learning, and that needs to be respected.. I have to ask you so kindly to please stop hurting us all, just because you're desperate for lore, and you want to shave off extra minutes. I get it, dungeoning is tiring, but this is a GAME. You should be enjoying it, but If you really have to make it hard for everyone else, just because you're tired of a dungeon, you should honestly evaluate your mental fatigue, and take a break. The irony is that rushing early dungeons just makes people more likely to wipe, which in turn wastes even more of the time that people seem to value. :l
Anyway, please consider this for the healers, please! Its becoming tedious, nearly every dungeon has been like this for the past few days. </3

It's never cool to be impolite, but I also don't see the big deal about casting Protect on the tank while he's engaged with the first group of mobs, either.
Went into expert awhile ago and the tank ran off while I was trying to cast protect. I never placed it on him, as when in combat I am going to be DPSing instead. It didn't really matter, because even without protect, Eos/Selene (can't remember which I had out) was able to solo heal it all fine.
The tank did mention "you've had plenty of time to cast protect", but I just shrugged and told him I was DPSing.
Also as a main tank, if you want protect you wait for it. Not gonna lie sometimes i do forget but then you ask nicely to the healer! As a PLD doing roulettes i usually run with SS on my bar so if i do get a sch or ast they can SS other ppl and ill get myself before bosses. Sounds to me like people need to take a deep breath in most cases and remember its a game![]()

Oooh, shiney...
I assume you must have misread my message, as indicated I was talking about Laerune's earlier post in this thread which I will quote below for reference:
We all take some time to learn, sadly this is something some players do not understand. I was doing a mentor roulette few days ago and the tank kept chain pull, rushing as fast as possible. Both the tank and me were mentors. The newcomers wanted to explore the whole dungeon, but tank refused, the newcomers wanted to learn, so I explained stuff about the dungeons, I gave them tips about their class and even explained each boss and how to beat them. Tank was not having any of that, he kept rushing and insulting the newcomers for holding the group back.
Sadly before I could start a Vote-Kick, one of the newcomers could not handle it anymore and left. I regret not kicking him out sooner.

They arent running lower level roulette for lore. They are running it for Esoterics. And instead of complaining here on the forums you can create a macro to let the tank know that you are still learning at the beginning before the dungeon starts so the tank can understand.
