First time through I loved the Vault, 2nd time through I didn't really like it and now I hate it. I think I just loved the epic-ness of the story at the time, but the actual dungeon is fairly boring imo.

Why is this even a thread? Just sounds silly to me.

This ^So...After protect, why wouldn't you want them to keep chain pulling? If you sprint you can always get shields up before your next pull anyway. If you cannot keep up with a simple Duty Roulette run, well I'm sorry bud, but I don't think this has anything to do with the tank.
Welcome to speed runners, circa Brayflox HM. It's just how it is. Without them, your queue times would be horrendous, so please don't bite the hand that feeds you.

If you didn't gear at least using lv 55/56 gear, the damage is pretty hurt especially for tank. I see there's tank still using ilv 120/130 on vault and the damage makes healer run out of MP when pulling mob...

There's a difference between "let them die" and "let them stay dead". XD
If you deliberately withhold cures from someone with the intent of putting them on the ground, that's bad. If they die naturally, though, and getting them up would be a waste of resources in a tense situation, that's a strategic choice, and not one intended to "punish" anyone for some perceived crime.
Back in the ilvl 90 days, tackling Ultima's Bane, we were relying on tank LB3 to get past the final Aetheric Boon - but one pick-up DPS would ALWAYS LB3 as soon as it was up, and we'd wipe to the Boon, in spite of our begging him not to. We'd then die to the Boon. On one attempt, though, he happened to die just before the LB gauge filled. We left him on the ground just long enough to get through the Boon, raised him, and went on to claim our victory.
More currently, during Sephirot practice we found that if someone wound up double-weakened during phase one, it was simply a waste of MP to get them up as they'd just go right back down again. Keeping them alive during phase two was not nearly as difficult - and by the time phase two was done, the weakness would wear off. Leaving them on the ground was, again, a strategic decision, not a spiteful one.

I'm the very definition of a salty WHM when I get put with a bad/ rude party, but I have never understood this mentality of "let them die." I mean:
Cons:
- You've just slowed the run down by 2 - 3 minutes
- It makes you look inept as a healer
- It makes you look childish
- The arguing, likely votekick or party member leaving - another 5 - 10 minutes wasted
- You're stunting your growth as a healer
Pros:
- A nice power trip for you I guess (???)
All because the party didn't wait for Protect? Really?
Coincidentally I'm also levelling AST, and not only do the lower level dungeons ease you in very gently, I automatically assume any healer worth their salt (eheh) would take the time to practice what's what before hopping into a dungeon anyway. Even as a newbie AST, I was hoping for big pulls/ chains to stop me falling asleep (and make full use of my cards in the sad life before Spread.) If every tank I got crawled by at the pace you're suggesting I'd go crazy.
This whole attitude comes off as being very controlling and achieves nothing more than giving obnoxious healers an ego boost, to be honest.

I love how there are so many people who don't respect their healers enough to wait for the healers to do their job and buff the party, but insist that, "Well, if you can't keep up, you shouldn't play as a healer!" Wow. Just wow. Wait, nevermind. This is the forums. These types of responses are to be expected. People claiming that it's inconsiderate for the healer to expect the tank/party to wait for buffs due to someone's "time constraints" as if waiting for an extra 30 seconds is going to really cut in to the amount of time that someone has to play the game.
If you can't spare an extra 30 seconds - 1 min to be courteous to your healer due to "time constraints", I would suggest participating in solo content since apparently being a "team player" isn't on your short list of things to do.
Not trying to be a d*ck, but come on people. Has common courtesy been lost on this generation???
With all of that said, I don't see a problem with a healer simply casting buffs when everyone is working on taking out the first group of trash mobs. There's little chance that, in the time it takes to cast buffs, that the tank is going to be KO'd, and after applying buffs, topping off the tanks hp would be less of an enmity concern and seemingly more appropriate anyway.

Astrologian gets Lightspeed at level 6. There are no group instances in this game that level syncs you below 10, so Lightspeed -> Protect -> Stoneskin and you're good to go. If you're waiting on cooldowns because you're locked in a 30 second CD due to class swaps out of a Sanctuary, then well, the party should wait.
You're being worse than him.
1-Have you heard of swiftcast and sprint?
2-"Hey you're not cooperating so i'm gonna let you die!". Hypocrite, "refusing to cooperate with your assigned" tank.
3- Think about what you're complaining and what you're doing.
The only reason it "wastes even more time" is due to you, nobody else. Just you.
