Again, we dont know XIV's actual numbers since they never officially came out and said how many subs they have, not to mention that we dont know how much money the cash shop is pulling in which could potentially cover for the loss. Somewhere in my comment is part of the answer as to how to change the game.
Well they are a company, so yes money is one of the deciding factors in content they make or not. They definitely listen to player feedback, they just don't listen to destructive criticism.
