Nope, I got it by adding, LOL. If you know how to use Excel, then plugging in data is much faster (and more reliable) than sifting through comments.

Cleared 3.0: 356,061 (55%)

Those numbers have nothing to do with active subscribers/players. Those numbers only show who has completed up to certain points in the storyline. If you look back to last year, you'll find similar numbers of people who'd completed the 2.x storyline going into Heavensward. And the population then was quite healthy, too.

why did you decide to skip the amount of people who clear each patch is beyond me.

Because that's arbitrary and not related to what the rest of us are talking about.

Why are you trying so hard to distract from the population numbers? It's not like you were the one who said only 200k people are playing this game.

And to RLofOBFL: I don't think the population has declined that significantly over the past two months, especially considering that we've had a patch since then. Also, people who take breaks don't always cancel their subs. I bet the game has around 550k-650k active subs right now, just based on the most recent data and the fact we're not too far from an update (and Deep Dungeons coming in a week).

NOTE... the reddit survey probably didn't even account for inactive players who haven't cancelled their subs. So the actual subscriber numbers would have been above 640k.
