This has nothing to do with Nostalgia. XIV has a broken formula that needs fixing in a bad way. In XI, things were made to last. XIV, things are made to last a quarter of a year, if that. I don't want another Diadem, I want another Sky, Sea, HNM or..... Horizontal Progression.
