Its quite clear that they aren't working on the patches on the game as much as they should be, but instead investing all their man power on working on getting the next expansion pack out each year. Most of there fans come from XI and they basically toss them to the side. (We stayed around 1.0 so you guys would still have jobs to make ARR.)

Sigh..you never give up do you? 1.x was a fun game.. aside from the bad server lag/coding it was not that bad and was getting fun.

1.0 YES that was launched with nothing..but when Yoshida took over and Tanaka was still at SE advising stuff and they had the XI dev team..1.23 was a lovely game. I myself started playing 1.0 launch...there was nothing to do so I stopped playing. When I saw the Ifrit patch I thought it looked amazing..1.19, I came back and was having fun every day till the servers went down.

Then 2.0 launched and I see they totally changed the battle system, all my hard earned relic stats were gone, and worst of all my earring from Van Darnus fight was garbage. That was the day nearly all my 1.x friends quit. They went back to XI and have been there ever since.

Yeah i'm pretty much done with this game myself. Has nothing new to offer but the same old grind. I can't even make anymore friends in this cus they all have left because of the same reasons the OP said. I called it at release of 2.0 that the game wasn't complex enough to keep players interested in playing for long periods. Patches didn't have enough content cus players we're clearing it too fast cus it wasn't complex enough.

I agree..I am in the same spot. Like I mentioned in another thread..my main account is only subbed because my friends are paying for it and I am helping them fill a raid spot for now. I can't bring myself to continue to support this game which offers the same old system, same patches reskinned. I want to say it'll turn out good or get better but who am I kidding, we are 3 years in now and nothing really has changed at all. All my 1.x friends left so... ._.

Kinda like what happened with XI Seekers of Adoulin, Players left for XIV and noone could do raids so they added NPC party members instead of fixing the main problem. (A better graphical FF has came out, its time for you to upgrade your graphics.)

Oh I am not sure which quote you quoted me in..but yes he says that a lot. Risk taking is not something we do much around here >.> I remember what happened in Seekers..that was not good. Like I said, I enjoyed XI but even I can admit it had its downfalls..for sure. ^^

Oh ya I've seen plenty of people say they feel the game is going in that direction. I agree. I played Lotro also and am getting a similar vibe..lol

After having 0 hype for 4.0 due to all the um..unfulfilled promises from 3.0 , can't say I really care. When 4.0 is released I will read the patch notes and decide if I am playing then :x

I feel like the real problem with 3.0 is that they hyped it up too much. "We want players to feel like it's a whole new game." However, that choice of words didn't reflect what we got. We got a slightly better version of 2.0. What SE has a problem with right now is execution. They have lofty goals of what the game "should be", but they've stopped factoring how players really are, and that's killed the game this expansion. Maybe 4.0 will be better, maybe it won't. In either event, I believe many people have your attitude. "I'll wait and see what they do, and if I don't like it I'm gone." That is the right attitude to have, but maybe we, as a community, are setting the game up for a big failure if the developers can't get their execution right out of the gate for this one.

FFXIV 1.0 was the spiritual successor of FFXI everyone been part of that game was waiting for, with one of the greatest OST ever, killed by the server lag and the CEO itself. The feeling of adventure the game had, the feeling of battle and the overall quality gap between 1.0 and ARR is just too huge.
All the people do in ARR is glamour, there's no point for the rest. And yes I am a raider in A8S. I keep raiding because it's the very small hardcore side of the game which gives us basically almost zero rewards.

This. XIV feels like a glamour infested game now. I mean ffs...we are getting PET GLAMOUR. Not real pets with different abilities, a perfect chance to add some depth. Naw...why do that we can just have glamour.
I actually saw someone suggest BLM spell glamour in another thread....its just really sad lol.

There is 0 open world group content and nothing to explore, world never feels dangerous and there is no need for groups. Its all enter dungeon > get your tomes/gear with same stats with a higher number > leave.

Then we have dailies..which feels like a chore list.

First off, Iromi, I could go back and actually quote your old posts, but I don't really feel like it. In this thread alone you've explained how you've done everything in this game. All while attending college full time and working full time along side a boyfriend who allegedly has the same responsibilities as you. Let's be clear here, there's no need to lie about your out of game activitites.. just be honest. you have played A LOT of FFXIV and have done it all, and that's fine. There's no need to make it sound like the game is SO EASY that ANYONE with a few hours and some determination can complete everything. They can't. So, yea.
