FFXIV: A Realm Reborn was published in August 2013. It has a different staff and different content. It's a different game. The previous game doesn't even exist so I don't understand why you cling onto the idea that they are one and the same. Frankly you are discrediting any proper argument you have by spewing blatant lies.

Also it doesn't matter how long it was in the works. Every game is in the works for quite some time before it's official release.

They are..I was there. 1.0 launched by Tanaka, Yoshida took over within 2 months. It was worked on by the same devs and producer for 6 years, are you trying to say that Yoshida has NOT been working on FFXIV since 2010? If so, you are very wrong lol. Had to chime in here. XI was released in 2002. Rise of Zilart and chains of Promathia was released in a two year span. Those two expansions alone were filled with relevant content. If you want to push four years, then treasures of art Urghan.

Needless to say, the content release is very minimal in comparison. Especially if you want to deem something relevant to all players
