I can assure you I speak for 40+ people in my FC who feel the same way as well, they just don't post on the forums lol.

It's not just that they're making money; it's that actual playerbase trends must not be alarming. There's no need to change if more than half a million people are logging in and playing every day or two. That's a sign of a healthy game.

Man, that's a whole lot of people paying to play a game they don't like. That's beyond me.
What's funny about that census is that it was taken it April, wasn't it? Something else happened between March and April didn't it?
To Velhart:
I have done raids, like I said. Im not hardcore or a raider, never will be. Raids are a WoW import. They don't need to be in a FF game imho. XI was fine without them.
Almost every raid I have been in has had one or many hostile individuals. First time healers and tanks just get blasted with bs. Having all instanced/duty finder content just breeds that type of behavior. I've seen it in all 4,8, and 24 person content. It spreads if left unchecked. In XI, you had to get along or move on because your reputation actually matters.
The mechanics are just old. Newer content just add more frequent dance moves. They should branch out and use some other form of player reaction in combat to counter a boss move or phase.

My fellow Eorzeans, let us utilize the "What about a JPN-NA thoughts corner?" thread as our flagship to unify the FFXIV community and stand together, voicing our wants and desires while also trying to understand each other!!!! FOR A BETTER EORZEA!!!!

Dude, where do you get your numbers from?
Making up numbers to illustrate a point is meaningless

I'm sure there has been a slight decline, but the game is still healthy. In no way, shape or form is it dying.
That said, I think a lot of upper-midcore/hardcore players are having a rough time right now because they're realizing this game might not be for them -- and that's gotta be a tough realization for anyone who has spent so much time on it.
This thread is essentially a handful of people who want the game's core progression to be changed from vertical to horizontal, and that ain't happening. Not now, not at the expansion, not ever.
Yeah, my inner hardcore player would be delighted if the game went more horizontal, but I've still got FFXI for that. Meanwhile, I've got FFXIV as my game that I can keep up with without having to play for several hours per day. From very early on, Yoshi-P made it clear that FFXIV was designed for players like me. Why would SE change the formula now, especially when it's working?

you forgot about the people who want fun dungeons, meaningful gear that don't get replaced quickly and something something.
