    My statements still stand, based largely on many valid reasons presented before. But let's clarify:

    No GC Restriction: a great idea. Might even bring more people in. But then what? Complete free for all? How would any kind of team play be regulated. Light/Full parties? Alliances? It starts to sound a little Frontline-y at that point.

    DoH/DoL: I know people that craft in open world cause they like to. Give them protected status and that becomes exploitable (unless say, job switching in a PvP area now has a cast time). And the idea of ephemeral/unspoiled nodes certainly doesn't play well with OWPVP.

    Hunts/FATEs: PvPvE, basically. I like it, but again, how would it be regulated? Light/Full parties = teams? How about late arrials that get no invites? Or less than light parties? People that LIKE to solo? Sucks to be them. . . Until it's you.

    With the current content that exists in the open world, much of it would need massive overhauling or total removal/restriction to sustain an OWPVP map/server, and again, it becomes impractical at that point.

    And I didn't even touch upon caster/healer balances. . .

    I don't see a reason to have a PvP server, it would probably attract all of 100 people or so. If a PvP server existed, it should work like Diadem, not a whole world you can just transfer to. PvP is a side thing, not a main thing. In any case, most likely this won't be realized so I suggest you go play B&S.

    This game needs an open PvP Map, that way it's easy to implement. Heck, that way even the GC restriction could stay and maybe have a limit on how many people can join or make it cross server.

    It could have mobs, gathering nodes, etc with different rare drops to get people to go.

    If you want OWPVP server I would say throw this in for restrictions.

    All Friendly NPCs, Cities, and Aetherites project a sanctuary zone, no player or NPC within a sanctuary zone can be engaged.
    A Ganker is required to sync to the target's class level and ilvl before they can engage the target.
    DoL and DoH who have no combat skills cannot be engaged.
    A person who has changed jobs cannot be targeted for sync'ing and ganking until their longest cooldown has finished its reset.
    A person who is engaged with a mob, or is part of an active fate, cannot be engaged until the fate/mob is completed/dead.

    This type of PvP isn't for you then. The people who usually play on these servers are looking to be a nuisance to other players, or to put themselves to some crazy challenge. I understand your points, and I am not saying they are wrong, but this isn't a regulated pvp match in the open world.

    No, it really doesn't. It doesn't need open world PvP in the least. If you want to fight other players in an open world, go find any one of the numerous MMROPGs that support that crap and beat the living crap out of others to your heart's content, assuming you survive long enough to become strong enough to do that...
