    How will my desynthesis rating drop?

    I understand there is a limit to desynthesis rating and if you raise some too high, another one will drop.

    Currently my culinary one is my 2nd highest (Leatherworker is higher), am I am trying to raise 2 other ones (blacksmith and Goldsmith) above my culinary one.

    I want to lower the culinary one, but NOT the leatherworker one.

    If I raise Blacksmith and Goldsmith to a certain point, will the leatherworker desynth rating decrease automatically? Is there any way to avoid this?

    you can buy or craft a book to reset desynth skills back to 1, it's a lvl50 4 star recipe for Alchemist iirc

    There is actually something of a gimmicky way to avoid reducing one of the skills. Put simply, you cannot reduce a Desynthesis skill that you have used within the past 3 Desynthesis actions.

    So if you want to raise BSM and GSM, keeping LTW and reducing CUL, simply rotate your Desynthesis! Do a LTW, then do a GSM, then do a BSM, then do a LTW (to lock it back in place as untouchable). That will preserve (maybe even raise, if you do something high enough) your LTW, while raising both GSM and BSM. CUL wil be sacrificed if necessary.
