in the end the argument ends always with "we need the sandals to adjust the height of the heel". this may be true for other races, but not for Lalafell.

Actually this not true for any race if you look at the recent Moonfire sandals.

Most are referring to the height and heel of most shows like the lady's clogs as why it can't be done


but if you look at the moonfire sandals it a flat base


This is zoomed in pretty close (without cutting foot out of frame) but when zoomed out can barely see the base of the sandal


so there be no floating unless someone was really trying to look for it.

It feels, to me, that it'd make them more similar to traditional Hobbits & other races based upon them in other games. I like that FFXIV is standing apart.

There could also be the matter of a 'decency' requirement in certain locales which would affect the rating or availability of the game as a whole. For example, many Arabic & Muslim influenced countries forbid showing the sole of the foot & class it the same as showing breasts.
