Oh, excuse me but not all people are like you who have no life and nothing to do.Savage Midas is too hard!
Many people can't login and raid for hours, let alone do that kind of progression everyday.
The mechanics you're required to memorize are way over the top, It takes forever to learn them. We need to clear 4 difficult instances every week for a chance at receiving our weapon or 8 midas manifesto, the difficulty should be halved at least.
Not all players can raid everyday and do this progression.
The next chapter of Alexander will be there in 3.4 as well so it would be really great if this raid gets some premature balancing.
Thank you!
Many of us barely have time to do the Daily Roulettes.
Besides that, being able to farm up Oils for the next step and spending leves on getting amber-encased vilekins gives you a headstart for the following upgrades.

If you are just doing your Daily Roulettes because that's all you have time for, then what exactly do you need a 230 relic weapon for? Those instances were meant to be cleared in like ilvl 200 gear. If you don't need it, then just do it casually. Also you may want to look into other methods of obtaining the items. Gather and do a daily map for a random drop chance or buy a bunch of maps if you have extra gil. Do hunts for esoterics, poetics, and allied seals all which can buy unidentifiable items. Do daily beast tribes. I believe they upped the amount of reputation they give and it used to only take 20 days to get from 0 reputation up to a point where you can get the items for unidentifiables and that's for two different ARR beast tribes.

Hm. I am an actress (line memorizing, filming etc.) BF is a full time student at nyu tandon. we both have multiple finished relics. By no means do we have "no life"
We also have done the raids. Doing stuff in game does not require you to live on the game...you just need better time management skills lol. Why play a MMORPG if you "barely have time to do daily roulettes"? Serious question. I would never touch a game or anything if my time was -that- limited..let alone a MMORPG.
Please keep in mind that while:
The majority of us have. On the long run they shouldn't nerf it as a whole for the sake of a very, very, very, very small percentage of players that "barely have time to do the daily roulettes". If you can't play 2 hours a day regardless of the day (including the weekend), doing one of the most grindy optional quests in the game might not be aimed at you.
And please, don't assume people that can achieve something you can't have no life or nothing to do; everyone has their own routine and daily struggles. The fact you got time to make this thread makes you a "no life" just like me and everyone else here.

You think getting the relic takes a long time? The alternative to the relic quest is doing Savage raiding, and that, my friends, is a timesink if ever there was one.
The relics are intended as a means for less "hardcore" players to obtain high-level weaponry. It is a walk in the park compared to reaching, clearing and farming A8S, even if the time investment is significant.
The minimum-effort way to an i240 weapon is logging in once a week to clear A8N for seven weeks so you can get the Lore weapon.

MMORPGs are time consuming genre of games.
Deal with it.
EDIT:
By the way relic quest isn't meant to be hard, it is meant to be grindy. There is tomestone weapon, grind weapon and hard-obtainable weapon (raid).
Even Yoshi said (2-3 Live Letters ago) that relic is grindy alternative to other weapons that is supposed to be a bit behind raid weapon and is supposed to take some time to get.

I like the way you assume raiders have no life. You know lots of raiders log in and raid for a few hours a week, since thats what they enjoy and thats what they have time for.
Back to relic, its not designed for everyone. There also isnt a time limit on it, you can complete it however you like in what ever time period suits you. There are lore weapons there for those with less time than is needed to commit to relic.
