I liked it, I also liked how the Scions play a role for once, instead of anonymous adventurers who help you do something. I know some people might not like it, but I realy hope Warrior of Darkness(eses?) will face the Warrior of Light and the Scions and not the group of adventurers.

Or atleast make one fight between WoD vs Scions + WoL and then they do something to transform into something (bad guys always transform in to somehing worse, RITAAAAAAAAAAAA) this foe we can beat as a group.

I like the solo instances we've been getting lateky, though for me the grand melee in the previous patch was better. Dueling Raubhan as an Immortal Flames paladin from Ul'dah just felt right.


I've never minded the discordance between group fights being referred as solo achievements. The way I see it, the Warrior of Light is so powerful in the Echo, and has access to the memories and experiences of all previous WoL, that when he needs numbers he simply projects those into aetheric bodies that fight alongside him.

None of us really exists, we're all images and memories given temporary form.

As for where the story goes from here, I say we take over the Gration in 3.5 and use it to invade Garlemald in 4.0.

It was rather fun. I first tried it as DK and that one fight with the casting going on... i was just slightly short on the damage. Went back as blm had plenty of time to spare, and also noticed Y'shtola used a barrier which i had not noticed the first time went in. :/
I hope SE add more such instances of single player stuff aside from the Palace of The Dead coming soon.
@ Laerune: i also would like to confront those chumps that are Warriors of Dark, my understanding is that their Powers are not at all like ours (aside from them being dark obviously) we would totally mop the floor with them seeing what we have all vanquished

I enjoyed it but I'm really itching to get to the point where we get it all handed to us badly. I'm quite tired of "always" triumphing and we've beat this new Legatus three times over already in the short time he has been a part of the plot. I really hope the Warriors of Darkness are the ones to finally bring this to us because so far I am not seeing anyone else offering us that possibility.

It's not going to go well because either A) it will be cutscene only and people hate it when their character is dictated by what the cutscene wants or B) we fight a battle where it doesn't count and those are a big waste of time.

I agree. Nothing feels exciting or suspenseful anymore. What was great about the battle of Carteneau is that the WoL and PCs lost, there was conflict and drama. Now it is like "oh a new primal? yawn." "oh, legatus? Haha, here hold muh ale." "dragon? Pfft, with only my fists"

Nothing feels like a potential to fail and the echo is like playing the game with god mode on.
