In terms of people who are reselling, like giving up their home and then trying to sell it off for an enormous amount of gil, that sort of reselling of housing is a no-go. We do not stand for that.

When you do see a player that is obviously utilizing their housing to sell it off for a really high amount, and you do see in party finder, please let us know. Report it to us and then GM's will go in and investigate. And if we do find evidence that it is true that a certain player is going out there selling off their land for an unusually large amount of money, we will try to go in there and make them refund that gil and return the land.

We may have mentioned it before, but we do not allow people to do something as malicious as selling some of these plots. Again, once we have it reported, we will investigate and find the evidence. And once we find sufficient evidence, we will try to address it and rectify the situation.

Images where GM supervisor outright states flipping houses for profit is against ToS and that all GM's would be informed to be on the same page.

The translation is coming from someone who knows nothing about the game, and what Yoshida meant by "high amount" might as well have been any price at all, considering any amount forces the buyer to pay twice.

The GM's reply is pretty darn clear, anyhow. I'm not sure why people keep defending it. I mean, if you can get punished for it, isn't it better to just...not do it? Is that little bit of extra Gil THAT important to you that you'd want to possibly lose access to your account over it? With the amount of people boasting that making money in this game is easy, I don't see how it's worth the risk.

Unless they really just enjoy being disruptive just for the hell of it.

reading the op I would say it's only those who sell at way out there prices multiple times the plots value. if I were to put mine up at the approximate 4 mil the plot cost me to buy that wouldn't amount to an enormous amount of gil or massive profit. it wouldn't even cover my losses on permits and stuff.

However they do need to add in a proper transfer system, allow teneants to take ownership of a property or reset the 30 day timer if they're actively using the property if the owner is away. stuff like that.

Well...if you sell for the plots value, that means the next person selling the plot will sell for twice the plots value simply to cover the cost from both you and the plot. Which then the next person will consider in his prices.

Then a few sells down the line, you're looking at 700mill for that small plot. Without making any profit, mind you!

Well then people just keep their houses never abandon and just enter every so often. Hey they wasn't meant to be sold anyway so problem solved.

don't condone the fact anyone would have to pay twice if I sold my plot that's why I don't really try to sell it.

the problem though is that people that want a plot expect people that have one they don't really need to just give it up and simply release it for no reason so someone else can buy it.

people like me who have a house they don't actively use that much keep it solely because there's no reason to relinquish it. it costs nothing to keep other than maybe a minute of my day once a month to step inside and reset the timer. and having a house even one I don't use much is more valuable than having nothing.....

thus I keep my house as do many others and thus people who want houses can't buy them because theres no plots available...
