It's just a practical business solution anyway.

PvP servers are always popular, so it's weird Yoshi doesn't think there would be much call for one.

Taking this to its logical conclusion, there are other demographics that might otherwise enjoy FFXIV which aren't represented with the current ruleset (which keeps changing for the worse and deviating too far from the reason i played FFXIV in the first place).

Anyways, are there or are there not numerous threads calling for more grind, and at the same time, threads calling for less? These incompatible ideas are all the more reason to have a casual and a hardcore server for those who cannot reconcicle themselves to a middle-ground.

Trying to please everyone just dilutes the experience for everyone
lol you will end up playing on a server by yourself. but anyway just for one minute forget about SE and final fantasy. every company that gets to a certain size does market research. the problem with these forums (not FF forums but forums full stop) is not only the company but also the customer can see the feedback. which would be ok but ppl twist it to what they want it to means. alot of ppl want PvP. a lot don't. a lot want hardcore party play. a lot want casual solo. a lot want dragoons to have pets (sorry i mean a couple want dragoon pets) a lot don't. ppl having opinions likes and dislikes, are not new. what is new is the way we can all see what eachother wants. it would be impossible for SE to please us all. so we are just going to have to live with the fact some parts of the game will appeal to us and we will love it. some parts will not and we will have to put up with it. it could be worse, you could hate everything. in this case find another game
