well if my ideas are "oh so terrible" maybe that's all the more reason to have a server for people like me, so we don't ruin your precious gametime with such ideas.
It's just a practical business solution anyway.
PvP servers are always popular, so it's weird Yoshi doesn't think there would be much call for one.
Taking this to its logical conclusion, there are other demographics that might otherwise enjoy FFXIV which aren't represented with the current ruleset (which keeps changing for the worse and deviating too far from the reason i played FFXIV in the first place).
Anyways, are there or are there not numerous threads calling for more grind, and at the same time, threads calling for less? These incompatible ideas are all the more reason to have a casual and a hardcore server for those who cannot reconcicle themselves to a middle-ground.
Trying to please everyone just dilutes the experience for everyone
No one can please everyone! As said before, even if they did your silly idea people would still be complaining. Even if this was the best idea ever to grace these forums people would still complain.
Your idea is just illogical.
That's why I have the sig I have, even Yoshi said it: If you play the game and you like it great, if you don't then you might leave but it's the players decision. So we can go with the flow, like it and play it... or not like it and move on to something else. Personally I love the layout they have, and I enjoy the direction the game is going.![]()
I'm just a bun boy, doing bun boy things.
are you guys idiots or blind? do you really think she needs a reply based on her delusional demands? what makes her posts funny(before she edited) is she need a server where There is NO restrictions on penality. thinking that you need to make sense by replying is only getting worse.
Other games usually have PvP, PvE, RP servers, each with their own rulesets.
I think, form looking at the forums, there is a cryout for a hard-mode server with much more demanding exp curve and HP on monsters.
So that's one thing SE should consider implementing, I guess.
A PvP and RP server ruleset is a given for MMOs, but I think they should also make a traditional server for people who liked the old features of the game (like the Optimal/Favoured gear system and the bigger emphasis on crafting).
So in conclusion, we need at least: PvP, RP, Hardmode, and Traditional server rulesets.
Lots of games have different servers like this. I dont know why you guys think its too much work, lol.
There is a server for people like you. It's called "Go play another game that already has what you want."well if my ideas are "oh so terrible" maybe that's all the more reason to have a server for people like me, so we don't ruin your precious gametime with such ideas.

there is servers for people like you its called go play ffxi if you want to play games held back by 10 year old game FLAWS. you refuse to even see what good things other mmos do, or how they work. would rather dismiss and troll someone because they do not share your view. glad we got a GD that has played another mmo besides ffxi.
pvp servers plz
hardcore/soft core por... i mean servers no thanks just make game as challenging as possible
my house is in rebuilding stage. this house is very small and in unpopular area.
the roof, floors, plumbing, and gas are all broke.
my landlord fired the original crew. for not completing the job on time
the new crew comes in and makes all kinds of promises, and shows me pics.
now for next year i have to wait for them to finish the job.
should I move to a more popular, bigger house rent it for same price?
or stay in the part of my house that is not being rebuilt. but still pay same rent as others.
The thing is that there isn't a PURPOSE for PvP servers with the way Yoshida is handling PvP.
There are designated areas for PvP. It's never going to be a 'run around and randomly whack people' kind of PvP.
A PvP server for this type of PvP system has no purpose. At all.
lol you will end up playing on a server by yourself. but anyway just for one minute forget about SE and final fantasy. every company that gets to a certain size does market research. the problem with these forums (not FF forums but forums full stop) is not only the company but also the customer can see the feedback. which would be ok but ppl twist it to what they want it to means. alot of ppl want PvP. a lot don't. a lot want hardcore party play. a lot want casual solo. a lot want dragoons to have pets (sorry i mean a couple want dragoon pets) a lot don't. ppl having opinions likes and dislikes, are not new. what is new is the way we can all see what eachother wants. it would be impossible for SE to please us all. so we are just going to have to live with the fact some parts of the game will appeal to us and we will love it. some parts will not and we will have to put up with it. it could be worse, you could hate everything. in this case find another gamewell if my ideas are "oh so terrible" maybe that's all the more reason to have a server for people like me, so we don't ruin your precious gametime with such ideas.

What I have shown you is reality. What you remember, that is the illusion.
Sadly for the OP, Yoshida's already stated a commitment to worldless, cross-server instanced content; he wants server choice to have less meaning, not more meaning.
7UP!
