Yes please
I love small races, I always play small races.
I'm currently fairly limited in my options to Lala and female Au Ra, Miqo'te is on the absolute upper limit even with the shortest height already.
I absolutely need something as cute and adorable as lalas that still has the legs the lalas are missing xD
So, size between Lalafell and female Au Ra would be perfect![]()

I still want a small race like the children in the cities, or Alphinaud.. They don't have to be kids since thats why they said they wouldnt add it before.. just small in size. Would love to see a beast-like race too with an actual different body and arms and legs.. but I know we'll never get that

I think that Ivalice moogles would be the best choice for a small race, AND a beast race. Why? Because clearly we need both, and they would fit so excellently with the lore, and style of the world. Moogles are practically the token beast of Final Fantasy next to Chocobos.
The cool thing is that the Ivalice versions are HIGHLY customizable, because of the various different looks that they had.
Plus, I would be very interested to see how the regular moogles would react to anthropomorphic adventurer moogles running around Eorzea. I bet that could open up some amazing potential quests, and humor.

I'd like a new small race. I've always liked the idea of a short race with normal body proportions. So for example if a girl of this race was standing alone on an open field with nothing to compare her to she would look like a normal girl. But then have a human female walk up to her and suddenly you notice she's a good bit shorter, only coming up to about chest level on the human. I just like the idea of my character being short yet mature and strong, both in mind and body, but still looking like a normal human and not a pudgy mini-race or scaled/horned dragon/demon people. And honestly I don't really care much for being a cat girl either, but everything else starts to feel to tall to me.
Ideas I've had are:
Half-elf
Dwarf (cute Japanese anime type, not ugly bearded western type), somehow.
Or some kind of fairy/Fae race, like maybe the elementals from the black shroud taking on a human-like form to go forth and help the world in their own way.
Edit note: I don't hate the other races, their just not my style. I fully respect those who like them and enjoy the diversity it brings to our fantasy game.

I used to play a Lalafell twink with the smallest hight settings possible and I noticed in cutszenes, that other characters often broke their necks while talking to me. This was very hilarious!
Therefore, I would like to have a "normal seized" race and not another small race, because this really broke my gaming atmosphere. I just could not take my character or other NPCs seriously after this... The same goes for very huge races, on the contrary.
I want this and have been wanting this for a long time OP, if only to finally have a choice for a smaller diminutive male avatar that isn't a dwarf / toddler. In my mind, females characters already have "passable" options with a short female AuRa (and perhaps miquote) but players who do play male avatars regularly and want that choice too only have tall/cool/muscular combinations. I see Alphinaud, Honoroit (sp.), Adashir and immediately think: "Wow, I wish I could play a race with males that size". Know I'm in the minority, but it would be nice to have.
I'm also a hypocrite too. As though I'd like to see them change it up and give us a smaller male if they do give us a new race, I'd also like to see a new tougher female addition as well, even though I personally dislike high levels of sexual dimorphism.
So something between Lalafell and midlander in height? That could definitely work and it would certainly be different enough from what we have if designed properly.
