It's like inviting a few of your neighbors over for cake but the first person to arrive jumps ON the cake and says you should be grateful you cut yourself a slice before he got there.

If you knew my significant other you would be more afraid of that analogy than you should be. On a more serious note, yes that's very much how it is.

Reap the rewards from the efforts of someone else, because if you went there late you obviously didn't help to spawn it in case of S ranks, or weren't helping to find it in case of A Ranks.
More like someone complaining that the whole neighborhood couldn't get a piece of a single cupcake. You do know if there's too many people the hunt will die so fast not everyone will get full credit, right?
A few neighbors? The whole neighborhood maybe. And then asking everyone to wait for the cake because you have to distribute it to everyone all at the same time. And then because there are so many people, you can't actually savor the cake. You have to stuff the whole thing into your mouth and swallow immediately.

You're overworking the analogy. It's not hard to ensure you get full credit as long as you are there and not staring into space while it's fought. It's those late arrivals who ppl fighting don't bother to invite to their group that get in only a lick or two that don't get full credit. Sometimes it's their own fault for dragging their feet, and sometimes the see in their LS, "S rank", followed immediately by, "early pull. Ded.", before they can do more than teleport.A few neighbors? The whole neighborhood maybe. I wasn't talking about credit. I was talking about the fact that the hunt melts in a few seconds. It's not a very tasty cake. well, maybe it is. But I sure didn't get to taste it. It went down too fast. There's nothing enjoyable about that. You're overworking the analogy. So you're talking about enjoying the fight? O.o Ppl really need these hunts you know. Relics, gear, mounts, pets, mats, ventures, etc... You'd deny them that so you can enjoy a somewhat more challenging fight?

No one is being denied of anything, we already went through 3 different hunting season in 2.3, 2.5 and 3.1, hunt activity always dies a few weeks after patch, after the people who grind it get all the lore upgrades they need, if you're late to get there you still have many other months to obtain seals.
Nah, the way SE designed this content happens to mach his expectation, it's you people who insist on stacking 300 people for a single hunt that are in the wrong.
