Early Pulling - Is it wrong?

I see a lot of people saying that they think people who claim early pulling isnt really a thing pull when they get there.

But that isnt the case here, most of the people here arguing against the idea of "early pulling" are still people with common courtesy to wait a few minutes for people to arrive. It is just ridiculous that no matter how long you wait there will still be tons of people crying about early pulling and whipping out their blacklists. At some point this bs needs to stop

So if someone has an ugly or too sexy glamour I can say they're interfering with my enjoyment of the game? If someone undercuts me that's interference too! ...this is just getting silly.

But would you really say that because someone's glamour is too ugly or sexy that it is preventing you from enjoying the game? Really? Would you really say that?
Which is more ridiculous? Wearing "ugly" or "sexy" glamour or complaining that someone's glamour is too ugly or sexy?

And please consider whether the other person is deliberately wearing that glamour just to make you angry and because they get a kick out of making others mad.

Undercutting someone and pulling an S rank before the group that worked hard to spawn it arrives on purpose are two totally different things too.
Keep in mind: is the person undercutting you doing it just to make you angry because that is fun for them? Or are they doing it because they are also trying to sell something...without any evil intention of ruining your experience.

People seem to be either missing or avoiding the main point here. If someone is purposefully interfering with others' ability to enjoy the game for their own selfish reasons, knowing what they are doing is causing many other people trouble, yet, despite knowing that continue to do it simply for the fun of being an annoying brat...then yeah I think would definitely violate the EULA of "Disruption".

I have to say that while early pulling isn't technically against the rules, I don't like it when people do it, and I do my best to not do it myself.

That said, there are 2 situations that are particularly egrarious as far as "early" goes, and if I ran a Hunt LS, would get you instantly removed from it if you were in it, and banned from rejoining:

1. Running mounted up to any (A or S Rank) hunt, dismounting, and immediately pulling the mark. That, to me, is beyond rude. I don't care what else you (might) have going, don't do that. If you, for whatever reason, can't wait at least a minute after you arrive at a hunt to pull it, then don't go hunting until you can.
2. Pulling an S-Rank hunt, regardless of location, with only 30-40 people at the mark and tons more still incoming. There's enough of the hunt rewards for that extra 100+ people still incoming to get some, it won't hurt you to wait an extra minute or 2 for them to load in and arrive. Note: This isn't during the wee hours of the night/morning, but rather during prime time when there are lots of people coming. Granted, you can't wait for the entire server, but you should be able to wait for a goodly number of people to get there.

2) what do you know there are 30, 40,100+ people coming ? to me 30-40 people is more then enough to fight anything...why woudl this be rude or anything of the like ? what is rude in this case is shout accross the land *omv* and 3mn later an entire group is still waiting...yeah`?

Lets just face it, doesnt matter if it was 1 person or 100. 1 minute or an hour wait, someone will ALWAYS complain about early pulls or how no one waited for them.

If you hunt then you have a general idea of how long you have to get to a mark.

For my server, a fairly high-pop server (probably the 3rd-4th largest JP server), that's generally 3-4 minutes from the point where it gets posted in most large hunt LSs. The time varies based on how far it is from an aetheryte. You can consistently expect to get credit if you get to the mark before then.

So, if the mark gets pulled in that 3-4 minute window, is it early? No. It's factually around the average.

If the mark gets pulled 30 seconds after it is posted, is it early? Yes. It's factually earlier than the average.

What this comes down to is being social aware of the community norms and practicing civility within those standards. Will people always complain? Obviously. But, if you are aware of the standards for hunting, then you know the rules of the game. If you want to participate, you play by those rules.

There are 120+ A-Ranks a day (with active hunting community).
Even if I'm playing just 2-3h: There should be almost 10-20 hunts available in that timeframe if I'm actively hunting.
So I should wait additional 3 minutes at each after I ported and got there myself, which adds up to 30-60 mins (16-33% of my playtime)? 1 min should be enough.
Not using GW myself and still getting way enough seals.

No, I wouldn't. I was clearly pointing out the ridiculousness of pointing out that rule when players are playing within the rules.

Kinda like how the world is progressively becoming a more socialist place...but more often than not this also leads to people arguing against the obvious. Yes the concept of early pulling is often translated as "don't pull until I get there", but this guy in my server pulls with the sole purpose of screwing up hundreds of people, I've seen him pull multiple times while not in party (queueing up for a dungeon for instance), and hunt was zerged in barely 10-15 seconds so he's not even getting credit sometimes, he just does it because "he can" and "it's fun".
Do you know what's the problem about having a mindset that more or less supports what this guy is doing? (not a violation of the TOS and shouldn't be or it's his money let him play the way he wants or I could also wear glamour and cause distress among people and that wouldn't be reportable either -lol-), it leads to situations such as the one we have with housing now. "Where's my right to own 12 houses with 12 different alts?", "Where's my right to play the game like I want even if that involves repeteadly ruining hundreds (thousands in fact) of tomes and seals of hundreds of players?". At the end of the day, you are screaming out to be ruled, and if they don't do anything about it, it's not because it's cool, correct or ethic, it probably has something more to do with the whole thing not being worth from a business standpoint.
