You're overworking the analogy. It's not hard to ensure you get full credit as long as you are there and not staring into space while it's fought. It's those late arrivals who ppl fighting don't bother to invite to their group that get in only a lick or two that don't get full credit. Sometimes it's their own fault for dragging their feet, and sometimes the see in their LS, "S rank", followed immediately by, "early pull. Ded.", before they can do more than teleport.

I wasn't talking about credit. I was talking about the fact that the hunt melts in a few seconds. It's not a very tasty cake. well, maybe it is. But I sure didn't get to taste it. It went down too fast. There's nothing enjoyable about that.

So you're talking about enjoying the fight? O.o Ppl really need these hunts you know. Relics, gear, mounts, pets, mats, ventures, etc... You'd deny them that so you can enjoy a somewhat more challenging fight?

That's why making groups for hunts is beneficial. Full 8 man groups usually get full credit no matter what role is played. SE considered these things. As for those, what, moochers who don't help spawn the S rank or fly around in circles looking for them, it's not like the person who finds it can solo it. They'd be grateful for help killing it. And it's not like anyone is expected to wait for the whole server, just a reasonable amount of time for word to spread.

Obviously. You don't NEED anything in this game, but ppl play to accomplish goals. You could accurately say that every time someone does an early pull for their own selfish reasons they are actively preventing many other players from getting closer to their own goals. That's where that whole common courtesy thing really means something.

And any time 200 people from a hunt LS come flooding in, they are actively ruining my enjoyment of the game.

Another myth from the majority of early pulls is 'oh you were too slow we first shouted 10 mins ago etc.' this has been disproved many times by other players useing the 3rd party programmes that tell them when the S rank has spawned on the server.
It would be very strange aswell for these statements if magically only a handful of people after the claimed 5-10 mins showed up.Word travels fast and especially at peak times you can tell by the size of the crowd at the scene if the target has been rush pulled.
Here are the simple facts.The player community has grown a lot more toxic over the last year especially since Heavensward came along.There's a constant 'me me ' attitude from a lot of the player base now who aren't bothered being considerate to other players.
People were generally acting reasonable with hunts until they put the new books in the trader for the seals.It happend the last time too.Now it's the attitude of every man for themselves and 'screw everyone else'

I've seen hunts be shouted with people claiming 14 minutes later that it was an early pull. This is no myth.
