Only thing i would say is i do not think new jobs will be implemented by 3.5 but later.

I would love a Catmancer or Patissier, honestly, but I can't see them working the way they did in Bravely Second. They would have to remove the requirement of needing an item to get an effect because of the negative impact that would have on poorer players. I could see them doing this by way of a skill like MCH's Reload to give you a token generating system and needing the skills to use these tokens. I could even see these filling the melee support role. Patissier would, however, be less likely because of having Culinarian in game already and I can't see them making a DoW job so similar to a DoH class.
I could see this if they replaced the requirement of needing items, but for a healer job, they'd have a hard time balancing resources (what would they even use?), MP, and whatnot. Since they would have to eliminate the requirement of having the mixed items so as to not exclude poorer players, I fear they might just hand wave the Mix.
I just had an intriguing thought for Spell Fencer. In Bravely Default, it got abused to put elemental enchantments on weapons to make attacks stronger, but in XIV the elemental rock-paper-scissors is nerfed into the ground, and some of the enchants like poison or silence would be useless on bosses PDQ. The focus was always on enhancing your weapon, however, and I could see the effects of the enchantments being tweaked to other uses, temporary boosts to attack power or auto attack speed, slight boost to defense or dodging. There could even be an enchant to temporarily cause attacks to "explode" in a short range AoE. It could be a class that uses MP for enchantments and TP for attacks. I would see it more of a STR stat.
For Red Mage, I see it more as a swashbuckling melee caster DPS. Yes, they get white magic, but never enough to fulfill the role of a dedicated healer. I could see them being built around doing sword attacks (rapiers, anyone?) and the occasional black magic spells to increase their damage repertoire (Fire II PBAoE?). Like Summoner, their healing could be helpful situationally, but I can't see them having enough focus in it to be a dedicated healer role.
The way I see it or.......
....... the way I want to see it.
With moderate healing (like Clemancy), melee damage (like Royal Authority), magical damage (like Unmend), and overall utility, to me RED will be a tank. The martial style of the Saber lends to the troupe the tanks in the game have as heroes and knights.
Lore wise I feel Ala Mhigo could lend itself to "Heroic battle mages that forsake the comfort of a library for the battlefield. Robes dyed red to symbolize fallen brothers and sisters."
And the 3 Musketeers-inspired questline about a mad king is perfect for the lore of Ala Mhigo.
WE NEED SAMURAI
That is all

IIRC SE didn't want to release 3 new jobs at once again, only 2. We're probably getting another intelligence user, and another strength user. Now naturally people would assume the INT would be the third ranged DPS, and STR would be the third melee with the stat. What I'm thinking is that it'd be nifty if we had a melee INT and ranged STR. It'd certainly help with diversity!

Eff everything, I want to play a class that throws boulders all day now XDIIRC SE didn't want to release 3 new jobs at once again, only 2. Again with people misquoting this. Once more, the problem was NOT giving us 3 jobs for HW, the problem was giving us those 3 jobs DIRECTLY after NIN. We still have a strong chance at 3 jobs for 4.0.
Also again, all signs point to SAM, RDM, and BLU. And I -REALLY- hope we get BLU.

Don't need to be snippy, IIRC implies the information might not be 100% lol. Correct me and move on, no need to go Noooot agaaaain!Again with people misquoting this.
