    Just another classidea: Psyblade

    I kinda bumped into this concept and fell in love with it, so I started thinking further, thought up some playstyles, some unique features to it, etc.
    Rather than just retyping everything out here, I just copy-pasted it from the notepad I used for it. It's still raw, but I think this entire concept has potential.

    Psychic Spellblade - Psyblade for short.

    Main Theme: Controlling your weapon through Psychic prowess, wielding it seperate from your character, combined with several Psychic spells.

    Main Weapon: Chained Spellblade
    - Chain is wrapped around the main arm of the player (-> Prince of Persia is a good visual reference),
    blade is thrown and swung around using the chain and controlled using psychic powers.

    Main attribute: INT
    - Psychic powers are its main focus, thus Intelligence.
    (No auto-attacks at range)

    Playstyle: Weaponskills and spells combined, (All INT).
    1: Keep your distance to swing your blade around, so you can swing more freely and gain some speed before striking your foe.
    2: Then reel yourself in with your chain, by attaching your weapon to your foe, and perform a meleerange burst.
    3: Then create an illusion and disengage 15 yalms, by pushing yourself backwards with a psywave.
    4: Manage your blades position correctly. You cannot change targets in the middle of a Weaponskillchain, without recalling your blade first.

    Team utility:
    - Directional damagemitigation, by weaving a wall with your chain and psychic powers, blocking X % of magic damage comming from the other side of the wall.
    - Can paralyse lesser foes (random dmg reduction towards the tank)
    - Mindburst: 3 sec root into 8 sec slow
    - Mindbreak: reduces magic damage dealt by the target for 6 seconds (Disable, for magic damage only)
    - Strangulate: silences target for 2 seconds
    - Sleep

    Abilities: WPS = Weaponskill, SPL = Spell, ABI = Ability
    LVL 1: Bladetoss(WPS): Hurl your blade at your target enemy (low potency).

    LVL 2: Chainwhip(WPS): *Weaponskillchain after Bladetoss* Fiercelly whip your target with your blade on chain. (requires same target as Bladetoss).
    LVL 2: Apportation (ABI): Instantly retreive your spellblade. (3 sec cd)
    LVL 2 Trait: Bladedancing: Your Spellblade is bound to attack the same target for the entire duration of your weaponskillchain, unless retreived.

    LVL 5: Paralysis(SPL): Debuff your target foe with the Paralysis debuff. - Paralysis: 5% chance per second to stun the affected target. (stun doesn't share DRs with normal stuns)

    LVL 8: Pulse (ABI): Knock your target back 15 yalms.
    LVL8 Trait: Enhanced Intelligence I

    LVL 10: Clairvoyance (SPL): 2,5sec cast, adds the Clairvoyance buff to yourself, increasing your manaregeneration by 100%

    LVL 12: Chainslash (WPS): *Weaponskillchain after Bladetoss* Slash your target with your blade on chain, leaving a damage over time effect. (requires same target as Bladetoss)

    LVL 15: Psywave (SPL): Costs 1 stack of Aura Perception. Single target psychic damage spell that applies a debuff, which increases the damage taken from the caster.
    LVL 15 Trait: Aurareading: Clairvoyance, Chainwhip and Chainslash grant stacks of Aura Perception (up to 3)

    LVL 16 Trait: Enhanced Intelligence II

    LVL 18: Trance (SPL): Put the target foe into a deep sleep for 30 seconds

    LVL 22: Mindburst (SPL): Overwhelm the targets mind, dealing a small amount of damage, rooting the target in place for 3 seconds and slowing it for 8 seconds afterwards.

    LVL 26: Mental Levitation (SPL): 90s cooldown: Increases your spellspeed and skillspeed by x%

    LVL 30: Crushing Chains (WPS): 3rd tier WPS after Chainwhip or Chainslash. Wrap your foe in your chain, crushing them.
    JLVL 30: Gaze (SPL): Costs 1 Aura Perception stack and x mana to unleash a 25 yalm range frontal cone aoe. (Hits the target, anything within 5 yards sideways and everything in the path of the spell)

    LVL 32 Trait: Enhanced Intelligence III

    LVL 34: Strangulate (ABI): Choke the target with your chain, silencing it for 2 seconds. (25 sec cd)

    JLVL 35: Bilocate (ABI): Leave an copy of yourself behind and disengage 15 yalms. (45 sec cd) (requires meleerange vs the target)

    LVL 38: Disorrient (ABI): Break the targets concentration, reducing magic damage dealt by the target for 6 seconds. (1 min cd)

    JLVL 40: Mirror (ABI): 3 min cooldown, targets partymembers: Next cast (weaponskill or spell) will be mimicked through you, making it execute once more. This effect cannot critical strike and no bonus effects will be applied.

    LVL 42: Psychic Torrent (WPS): 3rd tier WPS after Chainwhip or Chainslash. Deal a moderate amount of damage and steal mana from the target by funneling it through your chain.

    LVL44 Trait: Dominant mind: Your Paralysis spell will now also affect other enemies within 5 yards of your target.

    JLVL 45: Chainreel (ABI): Requires you to be in a weaponskillchain with the target: Reels you into melee range with the target.

    LVL 46: Dreameater (ABI): Mark an enemy, making it receive 25% more damage from all the casters abilities.

    LVL 50: Iron coffin (ABI): Recall your blade and chain and then wrap yourself in your chain, enforced by psywaves, to reduce the damage you take by 60% for 6 seconds (5 min cd)
    JLVL 50: Psychic (SPL): Costs 3 stacks of Aura Perception to deal massive damage. (animationidea: have the target foe shatter like broken glass)

    JLVL 52: Psyslash (WPS): Costs 1 stack of Divination: Deal high magicdamage in meleerange to a single target
    LVL 52 Trait: Trained mind (Passive): Your ranged weaponskills now deal more damage when at least 15 yards away. Your 3rd tier weaponskills now also grant stacks of Divination.

    JLVL 54: Rune Jail (WPS): Costs 1 stack of Divination: (Combo after Psyslash) Deal high magicdamage in meleerange to a single target, roots the target in place for 2 seconds, cannot be broken by damage other than the spellblades.

    JLVL 56: Chainstorm (WPS): Costs 1 Divination stack per use, deals massive aoe damage within 5 yards around the player. (Moderate damage, only half the recasttimer)

    JLVL 58: Animated chainwall (ABI): Form a wall of chains and psywaves between you and your target (if no target is selected, in the direction the player is facing). Reduces magic damage dealt by any spell that travels through the wall.

    JLVL 60: Final Sight (WPS): Costs 1 stack of Divination: (Combo after Rune Jail) Deal enormous magicdamage in meleerange to a single target.

    No thoughts went into the future of the class in comming expansions, since I have no idea what approach SE would like to take on the development of them. I just made this with the thought in mind 'Hey, wouldn't this be cool in the game?'
