Shanda Game, not SE
And you have not meet players, who bought level 50, in our dungeons yet.
We play the global version from SE, chinese players the china version from Shanda Game.

Not sure what this topic was suppose to do but the China version isn't the same as ours. They can't play for long periods of time like we can so they have those in place, if i remember correctly they pay per hour to play instead of a subscription. Those stuff will never come here so i'm not sure why people are getting their knickers in a twist. They have had that for such a long time already if SE was going to add it they would have done already before. Instead of looking at just the cash shop actually do a bit more research on how the game is actually handled before going to conclusions like some people have =_=

"Another thing we’re debating internally is whether or not to have something like World of Warcraft’s jumping potion that would work with both levels an story. The Chinese version actually has something similar to this already. I’m trying to decide if something like this should be timed with 4.0."

this better stay in the chinese version only... dont need this at all imo worst idea they could have possibly made
If this is correct it would place the job jumps to level 50 at the price of $13.39 USD.
That is pretty damn cheap.

Thats all they need to do is condense the old msq but don't allow players to jump it completely. New players aren't special and don't deserve special treatment.

The day those are introduced to the JP/NA/EU server clusters is the day I will cancel my subscription completely. I know I won't be the only one. The idea of running Weeping City with someone who doesn't even have the experience & skill to kill the freaking gobbue in the first Guildhest is less appealing than eating warm dog turd.
It would eviscerate the game completely, what would be left would be unpleasant, infected & in uncomfortable death spasms.
You're perceiving the game should only be played on 200 FPS and anything else under 200 FPS is unfair. That's what I'm getting with your statement. And system performance =/= class knowledge so not only did you prove you're one of those people who think the game is unfair unless we play on what you play on, you also don't know what makes a good player good. The whole reason people are against this is that they think it's "unfair." They perceive that the game should only be played the way they played it. You know what's unfair? That there are people who play on systems that get 20 fps and those who get 200 fps. It's unfair because the game is noticeably easier with high frame rates. It's easier to dodge, perform actions, etc with a high fps.

Level boosting coming to FFXIV means it's time for me to quit.
That boils down to poor game design, and then placing a band-aid that's not a proper solution but rather a way for them to profit from their own mistakes (which would incentivise not fixing the issue, and continuing on with that poor design for further expansions). A story in a game should not be a chore, especially in a Final Fantasy game, that doubles down for when you lock almost all content behind it unlike other MMORPGs. Cut out the filler quests, boost the EXP from the quests left over and boost the EXP gained from the Heavenward MSQ so the newer players aren't forced to do every side quest in the area to be able to progress the MSQ... especially when that content is not voiced which is a huge turn off for a lot of people I've attempted to recruit, but also incredibly boring story and gameplay wise.
In short, in my experience it's really frickin' hard to get people to play/join this game, and the retention rate isn't very good either. To add to this, a number of people in my free company left the game to go play Blade and Soul. These people were really into FFXIV and they really did enjoy the game. After they left for Blade and Soul they never came back. Something that makes the game less like work, and more fun could only be beneficial, and if you end up in groups with players who don't know their roles and are unwilling to take advice and learn to play properly, well, there's always the option to Vote Kick.
Now you have players who have actually played the game up to 60, done the content and enjoyed(?) the MSQ, are familiar with the basic systems of the game and MMORPGs in general. You have to remember that a lot of players interested aren't MMORPG players and may have not even played as they're playing it for the Final Fantasy name alone, dropping those kind of players in would go terribly for both them, and the players that play with them. People who buy the level boost in WoW are current or returning players so it's not a huge deal skill wise, WoW doesn't see much fresh players unlike FFXIV (from what we've told).
