Not really, we got exclusive events and gear that china and korea dont get
Wow look that panda mount can even fly from the very beginning and yet we are still waiting for quite some mounts to even fly.
Lets also not forget that they just got the butler stuff directly in their cash shop without any of those campaigns behind them so people did not have to go out of their way to get an digital good.
@Lambdafish: Which gear do they not own? Just curious.
Letter from the Producer LIVE Part IX Q&A Summary (10/30/2013)
Q: Will there be any maintenance fees or other costs for housing, besides the cost of the land and house?
A: In older MMOs, such as Ultima Online, there was a house maintenance fee you had to pay weekly, but in FFXIV: ARR we decided against this system. Similarly, these older MMOs also had a system where your house would break down if you didn’t log in after a while in order to have you continue your subscription, but this is a thing of the past and we won't have any system like that.
maybe but then don't you think it just feels like a slap in the face for china and korea?
Events and gear ( for ingame stuff ) etc should be "global" as in everyone who plays the game and have a sub to it gets the chance to get them.
And not "we add it sometime in the future to the mog station etc .. maybe"
I mean we are ALL paying the same sub fee as far i know. ( well ofc legacy ppl get it abit cheaper but aside from that )
I'm pretty sure the reason China and Korea don't get certain stuff has more to do with their respective governments rather then SE. Atleast with China, not as sure with Korea.maybe but then don't you think it just feels like a slap in the face for china and korea?

Exactly. In a perfect world everyone should get every ingame item even if they are from another country. I know that this is not a perfect world and if they truly do not get the stuff then I feel bad for them too and if they had a topic in English were they are talking about that I would post my opinion there too but sadly I dont speak any Asian language thus I cant provide any help (if they even care at all). The only way I can do anything is, by voicing my opinion about the things we dont get, maybe in the hope that SE realizes that country exclusive stuff is not nice.

Not really because they actually do get close to all of the costume items we get in the West as well.
IIRC, the only thing that's really barred on some level in China and Korea are patch releases, and that's due partially to censorship and mostly to localization since it's far less likely to find people who can directly translate from Japanese to Chinese or (especially) Korean than people who can translate from a Western language (i.e. English, French, German) to Chinese or Korean.
There are some things which need to be censored in Korea and China though.
An example from Heroes of the Storm HGC tournaments, one hero, Stitches needs a completely different skin to the rest of the world. Only in Korea and China does he get this skin.
Regular skin.
Some items in FFXIV might also need to be looked over by the Chinese and Korean teams too. I don't understand why they need this censorship, but there it is :/.
Greetings!
New exclusive outfit for China!
I think they are quite nice designs and they are different from the usual. I guess soon we will get the other previous outfits here.
