Well, the game's system doesn't allow for the existing sets to be job free as they have actual stats, while the new version(s) would be a Level 1 no-stat version.
♥ Baby, tell me, what's your motive? ♥
I really don't see how what you said correlates to anything I have.
I'd honestly prefer them to be crafted or achievement rewards. My post said nothing about them being in cash shop or otherwise- simply that I never see those outfits being used, and they're impeccably nice models that are locked to classes that already have to deal with armory bloat unless they use cross-classed armor such as Ironworks crafting/gathering gear. I support cross-class glamour of DoH/DoL AF gear because due to the nature of those classes, those models will fall into disuse due to their limited audience. I vie for the level 1 variants in game because I would really like to wear blacksmith goggles as an machinist, and my girlfriend has told me on more than one occasion that she would use the level 50 alchemist coat for pretty much every class if she could.

Wasn't there also a Thavnarian Bustier alternate appearance that these other servers got, instead of ours? What does it look like...
About the crafting and gathering glamour, instead of it being sold to us via the Mog Station, why not turn it into a recipe that crafters can learn and make? The gear is already ingame, I think putting it behind a paywall is too much.
Simple answer is: Other regions have to pay for it in their shop, so to make it fair, if/when they do this it'll be thrown in the Mog Station.
While it'd be nice to have these as crafted items or even just make adjustments to our current crafter/gatherer stuff to fit all classes at the appropriate level, it's just unlikely to happen solely because another region had to fork over actual money for their version of it.
But Yoshida himself said that we should post if we want something and they might look into it. Just because they included a handful of the once exclusive stuff does not really mean that they will do that to everything. If everyone will just wait and not post their opinion about it they might even decide that we dont want it and thus we will wait forever.
[Or they will put those items in an campaign, like the cloud mount which might not be available for all at the end]
As long as the devs decide that the Chinese and Korean players gets more and more exclusive items as long will I post my opinion about it.

Letter from the Producer LIVE Part IX Q&A Summary (10/30/2013)
Q: Will there be any maintenance fees or other costs for housing, besides the cost of the land and house?
A: In older MMOs, such as Ultima Online, there was a house maintenance fee you had to pay weekly, but in FFXIV: ARR we decided against this system. Similarly, these older MMOs also had a system where your house would break down if you didn’t log in after a while in order to have you continue your subscription, but this is a thing of the past and we won't have any system like that.
So many bigger problems in this game IMO. I would rather they remedy the repetitive, unimaginative, dull content than focusing on dresses. We all play so zoomed out you can't even see what people are wearing most of the time.
