YoshiP No more Region Exclusive Items, Please.

It means creating new gear from scratch takes roughly 6 months.

However, if we're talking about the region locked items, they have already been created. It's a matter of importing the items and assigning them an item number that won't conflict with current, and future, numbers. As well as making sure the items mesh well still. Coding can be a fickle mistress. I'm guessing the reason Yoshi has asked for community feedback on what items we'd possibly like to have brought over is potentially taking time away from other things they may be doing. They also want to make sure that the interest is high enough to warrant the shifting of resources.

The Chinese outfit, emote and barding we got as of 3.4 may have been exlusive to the chinese version of the game but chinese players still had to pay money for them. Those items were never free for them, so I don't know why there was expectation of other versions of the game getting them for free.

The Summer 'DLC" items that orginated in Japan were never free, those players had to go and buy drinks at 7-11 to convert into points to buy the items, and in turn, various other regions had similar promotions where one had to spend money to get the items.

It's one thing to be angry that a free item was brought to us and put in the Mog Station. It's more than a bit silly to be angry that a paid item was brought to us for a similar price. If they don't get it for free, even if it is exclusive, why should we? How is that fair to the chinese players? We're already getting an item that was promised to be exclusive to their version of the game because our feedback is valued by the development team. Don't you think that us getting it for free would upset their player base there?

This thread is asking for equality when it comes to the release of items, not to get what they paid for without having to pay for it ourselves. That wouldn't be equality then, would it?

I was checking the XIVDB and can't find the Chinese dress in the new itens.

I found the korean instead.

Looks like we definately got the Chinese items They may have be programmed in with another patch perhaps? Though finding the Korean ones is rather exciting, as that most likely means we'll be getting those exclusive items as well

LilithCale another item you may want to add to the list of things in the Chinese Mall that isnt in the NA mog station is Glamor versions of the crafter gear (Lv. 1 no stat versions of the class specific crafter 50 and crafter 60 sets) if needed I can take pictures of the store pages for them :P

I'd chalk this up to redundacy, but soemthing tells me that there is a detail that needs some clarification.

Crafting and Gathering gear are usually equippable by all classes and jobs, the exceptiuon besides the tools are the equivalents of the Artfact gearsets, which would be the Handkeep, Handmaster and i55 Sets. I take it the level 1 version are supposed to rectify this for the latter and thus are able to be used for all classes?

This is correct. This are the relic gears that were class specific. They come possible to glamor on ANY job of your choosing thus letting you dress up in say the WVR only top hat on MNK if you wanted. In my pictures the CRP example comes with replica versions of the hat body hands legs feet for Lv. 1 any job.
