And yet somehow barely anyone can tell me what exactly makes these version so much inferior than ours to need so many items? Gold Saucer is there, they can even buy the maid/butler set from mog station and stuff from 1.0. They get patches later but that does not change the content itself. So I am really curious what exactly makes it acceptable that they get one item after the other. I mean this is not one item per year kind of deal. And we only get them now because we complained about it.

@Blackbird1: If you find criticism as "throwing yourself to the ground and cry" well than we are all whiners in the end, since there will be always something you want.

To be fair, glamour in general has become a major part of the game for many players. So when there's exclusive glamour items offered to some regions and not others it can be very frustrating. Especially given how the EU promotion for the maid/butler attire ended up being handled. Many EU countries promised a promotion either got one that was incredibly clunky by comparison to what Japanese and North American players had on offer. Or, worse yet, specific regions were promised a promotion only for then later be told that they wouldn't be receiving one after all.

And yet they still get this content and on top of that they get a lot of often good looking glamour, minions and mounts. I mean its a whole country that gets it later so people just need to stay out of the Japanese or English forums and they wont be spoiled that much or even not at all. And its not like they are waiting a whole year or something for new patches, they just started later and thus are a little behind.

I played other MMOs which were behind the original one. I did not care that we would get things later, because I just did not search for more information on whats still coming and I just enjoyed the game that I had at that moment. So in the end I just cant really see that this is a good excuse to have so many items. I already lost the count but it must be more than 10 items till now and a lot are still missing from our client. (And like I said, we only get them because we complained)

You may not care for vanity at all but others do and for those this is often really annoying, especially if its something cool like the cloud mount. I mean if those "later patches" are a good reason to get exclusive stuff..where are the items for us European players that had to play with bad latency for a long time until we finally got our own servers? Or for those countries that still have bad latency? Where is the compensation for all those that did not even have a chance to take part in the butler/maid set promotion?

You're shooting yourself in the foot with your own argument. If you've played another MMO that was behind the original, and did not search for more information, how does that not apply here? Because you have searched about the other versions you've become so frustrated about what they have. You know you'll still get it, but you have to wait. I've wanted that Son Wukong circlet/crown, and I know it's coming, I'm just being patient because I know I'm not somehow being "wronged"...

As far as the butler/maid promotion, I think that sucks, personally. But regarding the latency, that's just something you deal with because of geography. It's a lot of money (guessing) to establish and maintain servers everywhere. You don't get compensated for everything under the sun, I mean, we lose a lot of playtime to maintenance and that's acceptable because games require ongoing maintenance.

It's not complaining, and it's not whining, it's paying customers letting SE know what we want so they can provide it. We're not playing the game out of the goodness of our hearts, we're playing because SE is creating a product we want to play.

Similarly, SE isn't 'giving' us anything, they're making a product, which means that we have every right to let them know what we want. A responsibility, even, because if they don't know what we think, how can they continue to make a product we continue to want to pay for?

Why I am shooting myself in the foot? I only said that I played others MMO that are behind and I know that it was not a bad thing for me? People dont need to search information about the original version if they want to know something. They can ask in their own forum about it and get their answers there. I mean if its that bad than isnt any release that is not on the same date world wide bad too? Being some patches behind might be a negative point for some and its in their right to see it as that. But for me this is no reason to get so many exclusive items. So if there are no other big points than for me this kinda feels unfair for the rest of the playerbase. [And one can say that if we have to deal with latency which can make the playing worse in some parts..well the Chinese / Korean players should be able to deal with getting their patches later and thus have no need for exclusive stuff]

Unlike us who kinda have to hope to get those items sometime in the future (I mean its not 100% that we will get it..just that they think about it if we complain enough), they will get their patches on time. They dont have to hope for it or complain about it. So I do see a difference here.

Like I said we cant be certain to get every item because its on SE side to decide. If we stop complaining and just wait than we will probably not see it because SE will think that we dont want those items..thus we will wait forever. Also lets not forget that Yoshida himself said that we should post if we want certain items. I just post some criticism about the stuff at the same time.

And Lukha says it quite nicely: We are paying customers and I dont really care if a product comes from SE or another company. If there is something I do not find okay, than I will complain about it. As long as its civil SE should accept such complaints, because normally they come from people that still care about their product. If I hate something I would just leave a bad review and stop buying it and this would help nobody.

Hey, it seems to me that no one mentioned that China and Korea have craft/gather replicas (glamour) outfits for all classes, lvl 50 and 60. And for the moment they are exclusive, first of China and recently of Korea also.

I think you should also put them in the first post, because even though we have them, we can not use them as glamour for all classes

I wouldn't mind being able to use the level 50 fisher hat on other classes...
I use it on all my fisher glamors.
