Chinese/Korean servers : New exclusive mount

Actually, SE didn't make the mount. Correct me if I'm wrong but in China, FF14 is partnered with another dev team that works on China's version of ff14. I can't recall the companies name off the top of my head though. But all of their exclusive mounts/gear/minions and events are all from this one dev team. That's why China gets different things. That and China is a few patches behind us, they pay by the hour, and there are no undead monsters in their game.

This is not true. As posted above, we have proof that the devs work on the Chinese and Korean exclusives.

No undead? China has their own zombie-like folklore and monsters, so that's really strange. How the heck did Hildibrand's quest happen? Are those in the Chinese version?

But yes, the game has undergone localization to work within those countries.

I really feel like I need to reinstall the Chinese version of this game and stream/record it so people can stop spreading a lot of this misinformation on what is and isnt in the chinese version :/

A few things to note on common,

They pay per hour but they would need to binge play to equal or exceed a monthly subscription pricing, most casual play will work out to slightly to significantly cheaper.

There are undead monsters in the game, this is not a chinese law banning them, some monsters have been changed but like most games it just need to be approved by a board and follow their recommendations. Most companies simply change things to avoid the hassle.

The dev team is one and the same for ALL REGIONS. there is no regional dev teams it is mearly front/marketing companies to allow access to that market (proxy company) for promotion management and support in local markets. The Japanese dev team is what works on all versions be it NA/JP/EU version the Chinese version or the KR version it is all 1 team.

There are gambling games such as the gold saucer's attractions please stop saying the game removed this.

They are last time I played only barely 1-2 patches behind and that is only because the board needs to review everything submitted and that is a long process after a patch is fully released.

The patches being behind makes sense both for ratings and censorship approval. I'm genuinely curious what was removed or tweaked, but not enough to ask to you to go that far, Yurimi.

Ok, but was it the devs who came up with the special gears or was it ordered by the chinese company. Was the design from the devs or have the chinese company send them a skizz how the gear have to look?
If the initiative came from the chinese company, then it can be that the rights on the gear is with them.

From the interviews with Korean media in regards to the hanbok and the Chinese community team promotional presentation dress and an as of yet shown at the time upcoming male outfit design, these items are concepted by the dev team in order to provide a cultural link to attract users. I assume that the other outfits follow the same pattern as a culture attraction via association in order to garner users of that region in a highly saturated market though these I can not say for sure as I have not read any articals in regards to their development cycle.
