Chinese/Korean servers : New exclusive mount

You seem to have a hard time admitting we just want everything other FFXIV players get exclusively on their servers or regions, I believe Square Enix should just distribute everything globally, except for crazy places where certain things are too objectionable to do so, I don't mean only China but everywhere such things happened!...

I don't really care about Goku's cloud mount since I don't really like the monkey king's adventure but whatever, if we get another mount it's just more for us!...

Now if SE does decide to bring other servers/regions' exclusive items we could also get the Chinese dress they got a while ago, that would make for a nice glamour!...

Sorry but how are we being "penalized"? Mounts and a few Glamours aren't game breaking. Also I never said they WEREN'T going to release them in other countries I said I DOUBT it. People always have this mentality that if they don't get something they're automatically being shunned or wronged. Games have always had exclusive items. Personally the game won't change to me, nor am I going to rampage over a few items I might not get.

I'm a 33 years old gamer and playing MMO's for the past 17 years and I can't remember any single game MMo or not having an exclusive items bound to a region (beside those exluded by the contry laws like all the stuff china censure).

So I wouldn't act like if it was a normal trend.

The holier-than-thou mindset that so many people on this forum love to have... for the most part, by penalizing, I mean the fact that certain individuals do not get to enjoy content that is made for a game that is nearly identical, and on top of that I was referring to the payment system they used that you mentioned in your previous post... the fact that they pay on a day-to-day basis instead of 60/30 days at a time. In any case, I do not know what exactly is different in CH/KR versions of the game, but it does not seem fair to me that they are rewarded with an emote, a cloud mount and a new outfit... meanwhile we get Monkey Butt Helmets for Heavensturn... yay...

She's not acting "holier than thou" she's just making a point. If we disrespect the game devs when they DO carry over content from other regions, there IS a chance they might think twice about bringing any more content over again.. I am tired of players getting mad at others for simply having good morals, and thoughts on questionable behavior. Do we really want a game where everyone acts poorly to one another? I don't think so. Someone has to stand up for our communities basic, and simple morals. Stop making fun of people for that, because quite honestly, it doesn't make anyone look good. It also raises suspicions.

ahhh, thank you. I was trying to think of what to say without sounding disrespectful or "Holier-than-thou". I just think people should think about how to request things properly without immediately bashing SE and calling them biased. I think they try to give everyone a fair chance but If I remember right the CH/KR versions are run by a different company or something? All I know is that they don't necessarily get the exact same content as we do.

I fixed it a bit. I'm sure they don't have those costume and the Legacy Chocobo on their servers.

They probably will since they have a unique currency system that allows them to earn cosmetic rewards from doing daily missions. Those cosmetic rewards are usually stuff like veteran rewards. I am sure they will get the maid/butler items in a similar fashion.

Even if the Chinese/Korean regions don't get the maid/butler promo items, It's still vastly unfair as they are getting a mount that has no equivalent anywhere in game and all we got was a lousy fat choco reskin. I don't understand why you are vehemently opposed to something that A: would have no impact on your personal gameplay and B: would only serve to make more players happy.

Isn't the Chinese and Korean version not directly handled by SE?

Yep. China has their own company that distributes the game and designs content because it makes it easier for SE to have a Chinese company ensure that the game abides by Chinese censorship laws. Korea is handled by another company because of their laws regarding billing- in Korea they can't be charged for "30 days unlimited access" like we pay, so they legally have to buy chunks of hours that are only consumed when they actually are logged in. There might be some other censorship laws in place but again that company is who makes the Korean exclusives, just like China's company makes theirs. Not SE.

SE designed the Korean New Year's Attire, I am pretty sure they designed the rest of the promo items incorporated in different regions.

So what? Shanda Games apparently will not contact SE to see if they can get the Butler or Maid costumes and Legacy Chocobo mount? For that matter, I would not consider the Legacy Chocobo a proper item as it is a veteran item for those who did play 1.0, so don't bring up 1.0 items when 1.0 was never released in China officially. Only 1.0 subscribers get it anyways, and it's fair, because they paid for the 1.0 sub time. As for the Maid and Butler costumes, my comment still stands, what exactly is stopping Shanda Games from contacting SE to see if they can get it for their customers? Nothing is. Also, what makes you so sure they don't have those items and never will get those items? Do you play on the Chinese or Korean servers? Have you asked someone if those items are not on their version(s) of the game? Please, humor me.

I am not questioning anyone's morals, I am not making fun of anyone's morals. Her words were literally "Why does everyone have to automatically have to act as if they were shunned or wronged by the game?", this is taking on a mindset that 'You aren't wronged or shunned by the game developers", this is partially true, but also untrue, because if that were not the case, we would receive the items as well. But I am simply stating the facts here... Square Enix used Amazon to do the Summer DLC Campaign, that's all fine and well. But then you have the freeloaders who do not pay for their product (i.e. ordering a pre-order game, and then canceling after receiving their code), and people have contacted support and they have said that they don't do anything about the matter of people freeloading promotions. But I've heard they are perma-banning them now, so that's good to hear. But the fact that it is happening isn't a good sign, I'll give you that.

They don't, as far as I know too... but I never bashed SE, I never once criticized them. I criticized Amazon for not enforcing the promotional rules of buy 1 item that is $19.99 or above, get codes. Instead its buy OR pre-order $19.99 or more, contact support, get codes, and cancel. And they've not done anything for the first few days, but recently, as I said before, they've started permabanning accounts.
