You don't learn much, if anything, from leveling. If you want to learn your job properly you're gonna seek out guides and videos. Leveling is just a dull chore. I welcome a chance to hit 60 right away so I can immediately begin that process. Everything pre max level is incredibly boring. It's why I don't do leveling roulettes. Why would I want to play with half of my abilities missing?

If everyone was just dumped at level 60 when they pick up a class even if they were handed a tutorial or guide 80% of the people would spam click through the tutorial and learn nothing, or close the guide and learn nothing. Because learning about how a class functions is "boring" and "too much work" when they could be raiding right now, or running max level dungeons right now. And failing horribly because they know nothing and turning the community incredibly toxic incredibly quickly.

The leveling experience is so that people do not get overwhelmed and learn how their class functions over time. It is also so that the developers can introduce mechanics over time in a controlled manner. So that when players see those mechanics later on in harder dungeons, being used alongside other mechanics at the same time, they already know how to deal with those mechanics on a subconscious level to a degree. So that confusion is only over new mechanics, not ones they repeated several hundred times over the course of their leveling.

If there was no leveling process to give people time to learn this game would be dead as everyone would of quit the game in frustration at people who do not know what they are doing would flood everywhere. People that should of been in a starting zone jumping into raids right off the bat and endlessly dying, endlessly wiping groups. A run considered stupidly easy like void ark would be wiping ark because people would wipe so much on the first boss or first trash boss room the run would time out.

If everyone was dumped at 60 right off the bat open to raiding the "raids" would have to be as easy as Sastasha Normal to accommodate those players... and would still see plenty of wipes.

You do learn stuff by leveling and gradually gaining skills especially a tank or healer if you have not leveled one before.

A new player that hasn't played an MMO before and is given a fresh 60 would be completely clueless and a 30 minute tutorial is not enough to make them competent.

Doesn't even take 30 to train up a friend playing for the first time to deal upper-end dps during mechanics in, say, Burden of the Son normal... And yet there are plenty who've done those 60 levels and only use half their abilities.

A 30-minute tutorial may well be worth more than those days of leveling. In my experience, that's just a sad fact.

No one is forcing anyone to buy the item. If they wanna slog through that old content, then by all means.

The early dungeons don't matter. Again you're either good or you're not. I really don't see the issue here. Come 4.0 I pray they offer these items because I really don't want to have to level Samurai from level 30 to 70. I know how to play this game. Just let me max it out and get to work on figuring it out.
