    Well lvl jump I'm not a fan of it but the content swap yes.

    Glamor quest is lvl 58 because its ARR stuff and its kinda pretty lame for a noob altoholic like me. Beeing forced to be near level cap to use an apearance feature is kinda unic to FF XIV. Its not like if it was giving you any power. Some expension stuff could be unlockable prior lvl cap without creating any imbalance.

    I'm going to disagree to this WITHOUT throwing the rest of the playerbase under the bus, like the majority of posts here.

    There's already a natural division of the community between "I can clear content and everyone else is an alcoholic giraffe" and "I'm having difficulty with this content". All this would do is further that division and unwillingly throw the portion that's having difficulty with certain content in with these that purchased the level jump.

    That...seems a bit excessive.

    I can understand letting alts skip the unlocks you did on your main, since you already know the story and have it in the endless journey, so chances are you'll just skip the scenes anyway, but everything else...? I dunno.

    Trim out the unnecessary courier quests in 1-50's MSQ, increase the exp rate so you don't get droughts where you have to grind. The game and it's story wasn't designed with level skipping in mind, and neither are the new jobs. If they were to do away with 2.x completion requirement for heavensward's new jobs, they'd have to redo the entire premise for the job quests as well (especially DRK), let alone your entry into Ishgard.

    While I am against the jumping potion as a whole I think if they did a slimmed down MSQ with an experience bump that wouldn't be too bad.

    Remove a bunch of the BS fetch quests and having to make dinner before fighting titan...

    Same basic story, but just the meatier bits.

    Just started playing the game a couple days ago and am loving it. My friends asked me what I was doing and I said taking a break to look at and mess with the profession classes.

    Friends: "no no no only focus on the MSQ and class quests right now. You have a long grind ahead of you."

    I looked it up. 184 MSQ for the original game. 100 MSQ just to make the bridge from the game to the expansion. I don't want a level boost as I am enjoying the story, but wouldn't mind them trimming down some of the more monotonous MSQ. Knowing its going to be a month or two of JUST grinding MSQ until I can enjoy the expansion and get closer to playing with my friends is a little disheartening.

    Yes it wouldn't be so bad removing all the fetch quests. You can also buff the exp on lower levels I just disagree with how you are currently suggesting to make it easier.

    I personally really disliked the level boost in wow, specially since by the time it got introduced you could level to the last xpac lvl cap in a matter of a week. I would support moving new jobs from requiring entry into the new content areas in order to "activate" them. Even within HW you coulda done it with minor tweaks since they all had npc involvement outside ishgard, or just allowed players entry into ishgard area just not the MSQ. During the 3.xx line they already have been "trimming" the msq a bit and adding additional major points into a sub quest style, so I think that works and you could probably just trim the 2.x series and up he xp rewards even if it cuts a bit into the lore. As for a blatant level boosting item though, I feel that is a very bad direction to take.

    An example would be if it is something that can be used without limitation on a already existing account, while having a lvl capped DoM/W in it of itself isn't that detrimental to a game economy (potentially could still be though), you would still have open access to a character that could much easily level DoH/L up to certain key points. I suppose in a "if you must do it" scenario, best I could see happening is that the boost is only available in a starter pack sort of deal for ff 14 and is a one time use for one DoW/M. Overall though the game is incredibly friendly with catch up mechanics and is a very narrative oriented game, and a "free pass" does go against this design, especially since imo they are already taking steps into allowing ppl to play together regardless of lvl via systems like palace of the dead. Would much rather see systems that play off the lower levels in a relevant lvl sync kinda way than just see the wow style cop-out that is level boost.

    TLDR: No to level boosts. Allow access to any and all jobs at lvl 30 (lined up with the rest of the current jobs). Up the exp and trim the hell outta the 2.xx series. And continue to develop systems that encourage play between low and high level players.

    If they jump to max level without play, they won't learn how to play. You will have a DF fill of people who doesn't know anything because never played on low levels. Also is unfair for those who do everything and spent their time getting the level and unlocking all.

    And then, come here, to the forums, to complain "How bad are the players!" and open 5642 threads about how they are ruining the game, and etc.

    It is not only level, it's about learning process. There are people who never learn no matter how much low level shit they do, but most of the player uses that learning curve to progress.

    So, sorry, but yes, new player should do ALL, like everyone of us did before.

    This I would agree with. Cut the unnecessary crap from MSQ boost exp so we can just level through MSQ and some side quest without having to FATEs and/or dungeon grind. No need to get that similar thing from WoW

    Also, this is a Final Fantasy game which is heavy on story. We already have people bored of end game, what will happen once they can just level up through a potion? They will be bored real quick and go to the next game.
