Except expansions are not a new game they are just expanding a already existing game, now if the game been out for 10 years and has like 5 expansions but XIV only been our for 3 years with barely any information known about 3rd expansion.
It's really simple- Nobody wants to buy a new game to play old content. No matter how you want to explain the concept and break it down, that remains the core. Similarly, no matter how you break it down, the only group that benefits from the lack of Jump Potions, is going to be the current subscribers. We should be considered, sure. But I'd rather everyone's friends (new and returning players) be included in the expansion fun than protect my own interests, pride, and such
Like when the maps was already open in 3.1? I forgot which patch it was. Many don't even wanna explore. Oh well.
FFXI did have some story you needed to finish to get to certain places, like sky and sea. Many people couldn't beat 6-4 mission of chain of promathia (omega weapon). Many struggled with it and only way to get to sea was to beat that guy. I loved sky too, how you had want to make a full alliance to beat the arch angels in sky... Memories that will never fade away, that game was a real MMO and never held people's hands. I want FF14 to have some more content wall. Steps of faith was abosultely amazing when I first did it and tbh I beat it on second try before nerf. I don't know and understand how people could fail on it. I seriously question myself the skills people have these days on game, it's either they don't follow what's going on the screen or simply just don't want to put some decent effort, sad, just sad.

Im all for more features being unlocked from having the expansion but skipping story and getting maxed level characters just doesn't fly with me and shouldn't with others! I mean even the new jobs starting at lvl 30 was annoying to me.
I think we as xiv fans need to make a stand and get this instant gratification crap out of the game and show Yoshi we don't want this for our future! Again though having features like areas, and classes/jobs not being locked is understandable.

Look, I understand if new or returning players want to skip all of the Patch storyline, but I don't agree with players skipping the 1-50 story or jumping in level. The fact that there's 60 levels of content for a new player is a gift, not a chore. When you let new players suddenly jump to level 50, you're inviting them to be overwhelmed with systems that they don't understand and literally robbing them of the unique experience of getting to know the game at a more enjoyable pace.
So basically SE, go ahead and create a Time Mage NPC that will allow players to skip the patch content with a 20 min cutscene detailing everything that happens inbetween 2.1-2.5 and 3.1-3.X. That will genuinely help the game in the long run, but do not, and I repeat DO NOT allow players to skip levels. This will turn your most loyal players against you and only invite players who joined the game on a whim of a friend and will unsubscribe as soon as the new expansion is no longer the "newest MMO content to hit the shelves." I would also implore you not to try and follow World of Warcraft's model since it currently is losing more subscribers than it's gaining.
From 4.0 I wouldn't mind new players starting at 30 to be honest, although I would increase the Hall of Novice trials and make them compulsory.
I don't agree with producing items on the Mogstation that give any boost to the player whatsoever. If you wanna give players that item then give them it for free. Mogstation glamour items only, once we say yes to this it is a slippery slope to it becoming a p2p and f2p game.

begin to level 30 means litterally ignore the whole class part. no i'm against the jump of level or even the skip of the story. they are part of the experience of FF14, i can understand that this part will be quite long for new player, but when they will reach our same point they will have the same feeling than us about what we did experience. if they was able to pass story, some part of the world will feel weird, it will be toxic to the immersion and the story telling. From 4.0 I wouldn't mind new players starting at 30 to be honest, although I would increase the Hall of Novice trials and make them compulsory.

however i'm for the reduce of the difficulty of the content in the quest level 1-50 for make it faster and easier to do it
With exception of people not learning class, why would you care if someone skips story and/levels?

This is something that can't be excused, and in a game where time = money, it is essentially making it so that a player with infinite cash has an in-game advantage over another player.
Technically you can easily hit level 30 in 2 days if you were recruited by a friend since you get the Circlet and potentially get the exp boost from the FC. I agree that it's a slippery slope, and it's one I hope they don't even give a wayward glance towards. From 4.0 I wouldn't mind new players starting at 30 to be honest, although I would increase the Hall of Novice trials and make them compulsory.

Apparently you can't get circlet till free month ends and they bill your card. I have all jobs to 20 or more and still no circlet. This is something that can't be excused, and in a game where time = money, it is essentially making it so that a player with infinite cash has an in-game advantage over another player.

Well lvl jump I'm not a fan of it but the content swap yes.
Glamor quest is lvl 58 because its ARR stuff and its kinda pretty lame for a noob altoholic like me. Beeing forced to be near level cap to use an apearance feature is kinda unic to FF XIV. Its not like if it was giving you any power. Some expension stuff could be unlockable prior lvl cap without creating any imbalance.
