More Generic Furnishing Options to Match Current Themes

While furnishing and decorating my new house, I've noticed that there are many furnishing options that are missing from the game, and I am having trouble making my rooms match to my liking.

For example, I have the Masonwork flooring and walls in my basement, but there are no Masonwork partitions/half partitions that match. Also, the Mahogany Partition Door matches Riviera Partitions, but there's no Glade/Oasis equivalent.

There are many such examples of housing themes where some simple item additions could make housing design and furnishing much easier and more aesthetically pleasing.

You can get a little creative with the partitions and put the ones matching your interior on top of the sides of the Mahogany door so that all you really see is the door and what's above it. I agree with you though, there really should be one door per partition style. What would be better is if they would let us skin the partitions like they let us do with the interior walls. This is coming from someone who is horrible at interior decorating but I still find it entertaining to try.

I definitely agree that partitions should be skinned the same as the walls within the same room. I don't see why anyone would want wooden partitions of one style in a room with completely different walls.

Yeah, I had partitions up with the stained glass walls and an ice chandelier. It looked terrible. Partitions are down, although I'm wondering if I can get away with the planter type half partitions and go kinda green on the bottom floor of a small. Note to self: having all the expensive housing things in one room doesn't mean it will all look better. Sometimes the cheap stuff actually matches and looks superior.

There are times where mixing different partitions together give a change in pacing and look great. That however, doesn't apply here.

it has been suggested to have an option to cover partitions with current wallpaper, hope it happens one day.

also I think they should add plain white partitions/ceiling tiles /floor boards that we can dye.... so we can at least match a color scheme. I realize that would take some work to accommodate the new areas of customization into the ui, but imo, it would be a nice addition.

Came here to post almost exactly the same thing. I've just designed a cool themed basement for my new house on the assumption I could use stone interior walls - to discover all the partitions are wood. Could we at the very least get a stonework partition, please?
