    Ninja Or Bard in Raiding?

    Hi guys,

I'm looking for people's opinions on which class to pursue as a main class, I enjoy Ninja and Bard the same amount so it's difficult to decide.

I'm looking to get into raiding and I'm hoping some raiders can give me some information as to which class would be better in a raid environment? A couple reasons why would be very much appreciated too. Thanks!

I would say very dependent on group composition. If already a Bard in the group, you would be better to go as a Ninja. Both have their plus and minus and both bring utility to the groups. And to note, Ninja also benefits from Bard's Foe Requiem.
Just as a reference if you have a Bard with you as Ninja
Go with the one you enjoy the most, or better yet level them up and switch from time to time to see which one fits you better.
I can see if you like them both equally how it would be a hard decision. Best of luck

As a BRD main here is my input:

Whenever new content is made available I'm discriminated against. Not just because I'm a BRD, because BRD is useful to have for DMG/MP/TP support. The issue is that the MP/TP support comes with a drop in DPS while the songs are active so I'm expected to have THE BEST gear IMMEDIATELY to make up for it. I have trouble finding a static to be a part of because I do not meet this requirement. I enjoy BRD more than anything else in the game, but I usually have to wait a bit to run the most difficult fights unless I'm going with a full FC party.

Both NIN and BRD are desirable jobs to play, but they fill different roles within the party composition. NIN is more of pure DPS job compared to BRD which is sort of a DPS-Support hybrid. NIN will typically be competing against DRG or MNK for the melee DPS jobs in the party composition. BRD will be competing against MCH in most party compositions.

During progression, BRD will need to sacrifice some DPS to provide TP restoration to melee DPS and tanks. Also BRD may have to provide MP restoration for healers, especially when learning the encounter. NIN is great for the raid group because of Goad, Trick Attack, and Slashing debuff.

Play whichever job you think that you will perform the best at and have the most fun with. I can understand where you are coming from. I am fairly competent at DRG, MNK, and NIN. However for my raid group, I play BRD and MCH.
