Useful JP terms (JP/EN translation)

heh, very pimp, the only issues i have is when its such like:

me: Something が好きです
Them (along the lines of): what do you like about them you crazy man (all in jp)
*30 mins of looking through the guide*

The generally accepted meaning/romanization for デジョン is "Dezone", at least that was the accepted one in XI. Warp II was pretty much always shortened as D2 and whenever someone wondered why that was the explanation given.

Semi-related question, is it possible to install the FFXIV client in 2 languages (EN and JP) on the same system? At least unlike XI you don't need to jump through hoops (and use software barred by the ToS) just to type in Japanese using the EN client, but being able to play with the interface/logs in Japanese would be a good way to force myself to have regular practice.

I'm on NA client playing JP, for FFXIV in the config (not in-game one) there is language option to change the locale for the game. I had to do this since JP version FFXIV requires JP Square-Enix account with JP credit card (they wont accept US credit cards)... it's so F'ing weird how their system works... FFXI JP client worked fine with US credit card...

but then... I'm not always watching forums/doc/in-game so..... dunno

or you can say

日本語　勉強中です - nihongo benkyou chu desu - Learning Japanese right now
少しわかりません、ごめんなさい - sukoshi wakarimasen, gomenasai - sorry, don't understand a bit
