    I'd like to request:

"Thank you, this information will help my Linkshell!"

I joined a JP Aurum Vale party and I learned a quicker route through it along with some ideas of boss tactics, and I couldn't figure out a way to express my thanks.

Also, if you could Translate the names of the Coincounter (Cyclops) ws's, specifically "Eye of the Beholder" (The AOE WS that only hits you if you are really far away) and "100-ton Swing" (the AOE ws that does like 4.5k+ damage). I have 2 JP players in my LS that speak ok English and not being able to tell them what to do for specific WS's sucks if they JP name is different from the english name =(

    +1 for the list.

    ひそひそ is Treespeak.
Minutes can be hun/pun depending on number. 1 (ippun), 6 (roppun), 8 (happun), 10 (jyuppun) ends with pun but I guess that will just cause extra confusion in the doc.

    Can add...
    募集する, boshuu suru Recruiting people.
レベル上げ (reberu age) Exping + PT is widely recognized abbrev. for Party.
    レベル上げPT = Exp Party
    締め切り (shimekiri) = (Recruitment) Closed

Yeah, please post the Roomaji along with it's relevant Katakana/Hiragana/Kanji so players can attempt to understand which japanese syllabaries apply to which characters. Thanks in advance.

Reinhardt: maybe you can post a definition of the differences between the four forms so that players unfamiliar with japanese may understand why and when to use which?

Ah! Okay. Here are the romaji readings. No kanji for these.

Aurum Vale -- オーラムヴェイル (o-ramu veiru)

    Coincounter -- コインカウンター (koinkaunta-)

Animal Instinct -- アニマルインスティンクト (animaru insutinkuto)
Eye of the Beholder -- アイ・オブ・ビホルダー (ai obu bihoruda-)
    10 Ton Swing -- 10トンズ・スイング (10 tonzu suingu)

    Miser's Mistress -- マイザーズミストレス (maiza-zu misutoresu)

I found this really helpful yesterday! The auto-translate is seriously useless sometimes.

Awesome, I see you put in a few more, too. Hehe.

About the Sublimen / Subliman matter... When I refer to myself I still use the singular form (Subliman desu), is it correct or is there a reason why you use Sublimen plural?

Also, 後で (atode), meaning “later”, could be used for general future events? Usually I say これからも、 when I want to say something like “In the future, [we'll do it again]”, but I don't know the romaji or if it's 100% correct. Is it? Or is it better atode in these cases?

    Just for curiosity.
Thanks again for the nice translations. I'll have fun using those in Eorzea.

Subliman works I guess but I know I'm not alone and part of the League of Heroes in Subligar (Hentai Sentai Sublimen!) so I just use Sublimen... w... (Wish they had 5 different colors... Red, Black, Blue, Pink, Green... like power rangers)

"In the future, we'll do it again" is more like 今後もまたやります - Kongo mo mata yarimasu
We'll do it next time - また今度やります - mata kondo yarimasu
We'll do it later - また後でやります - mata atode yarimasu
Will continue to do this in the future - これからも、またやるつもりです - korekaramo mata yaru tsumori desu
Will be looking forward to playing with you in the future - また今度一緒に遊びましょう - mata kondo issho ni asobi mashou

    -----

I used to have my own one I made in flash (was crappy imo) but here's Hiragana/Katakana chart for any of you interested in how to read basic Hiragana/Katakana... http://www.tofugu.com/2010/01/07/hir...-for-download/

now Kanji's really can't help you much aside from really basic stuff + from you memorizing the words/translations of words posted on here. Used to tell my friends to do this if they wanted to learn Japanese, specially easier now since they have English version of the manga comics.

Get a hold of same manga comic in JP and NA and compare them. Easier manga's have furigana (how to read) next to the kanji characters so you can learn how to read + look at the NA one for meaning. (unless you're bored and want to look through the dictionary every time...)

Minutes in JP - for those interested.
    1 min - 1分 i-pun
    2 min - 2分 ni-fun
    3 min - 3分 san-pun
    4 min - 4分 yon-pun
    5 min - 5分 go-fun
    6 min - 6分 ro-pun
    7 min - 7分 nana-fun
    8 min - 8分 ha-pun
    9 min - 9分 kyu-fun

    10 min - 10分 Jyu-pun
    20 min - 20分 ni-jyu-pun
    30 min - 30分 san-jyu-pun
    40 min - 40分 yon-jyu-pun
    50 min - 50分 go-jyu-pun
    60 min - 60分 roku-jyu-pun (this case you put roku instead. ro-jyu-pun = X)

    1 hour - 1時間 - ichi-jikan (when saying the hour)
    1 - ichi (i-jikan = X ichi-jikan = O)
    2 - ni
    3 - san
    4 - yo (yon-jikan = X yo-jikan = O)
    5 - go
    6 - roku (ro-jikan = X roku-jikan = O)
    7 - hichi (nana-jikan = X hichi-jikan = O)
    8 - hachi
    9 - ku
    10 - jyu

    100min 100分 hya-pun (don't say hyaku-pun in this case)
100 is Hyaku (see below example)
    200 is Ni-Hyaku
300 is San-Byaku (Like Pun/Fun it changes a bit to Byaku instead of Hyaku, I'll get into this if anyone wants to know but doubt need to know for FFXIV)

    Example
    11 min - 11分 jyu-i-pun
    12 min - 12分 jyu-ni-fun
    13 min - 13分 jyu-san-pun
    24 min - 24分 ni-jyu-yon-pun
    25 min - 25分 ni-jyu-go-fun
    26 min - 26分 ni-jyu-ro-pun
    37 min - 37分 san-jyu-nana-fun
    38 min - 38分 san-jyu-ha-pun
    49 min - 49分 yon-jyu-kyu-fun
    150 min - 150分 hyaku-go-jyu-pun
    180 min - 180分 hyaku-hachi-jyu-pun
    1 hour 30 min - 1時間30分 - ichi-jikan san-jyu-pun
    2 hours 45 min - 2時間45分 - ni-jikan yon-jyu-go-fun

Also related to time, the @ symbol ("atto" in Japanese) is often used instead of 後 or "ato" (after/in).

    Examples:
    @15分 -- ato jyuu-go-hun (in 15 minutes)
    リキャ@4分 -- rikya ato yon-hun (recast in 4 minutes)
    レイズ@2分 -- reizu ato ni-hun (raise in 2 minutes)

    Or other uses:
    @3人 -- ato san-nin ((full PT) after 3 people)
@1回 -- ato ikkai ((after) 1 more time)

One more good symbol to know when talking about time is 半 or "han" meaning "half".

    9時半 -- ku-ji han 9:30
    1時半 -- ichi-ji han 1:30
