Liveletter "feedback"?

As far as housing, it's great and all that flipping houses at a high cost is bad now but I would have preferred to see something along the lines in of separating FC and personal housing and making personal houses one per server per service account. Do some of you really need houses on your "alt?" Lol. Let the flames come.

I don't mind the live letter that was recent for the first half of it, the ability to instantly report RMT was well worth all the other stuff, that alone is something I have wanted for since I started the game about a year ago. On Mateus I have tells disabled because I will get 10-20 RMT tells in only 1-2 minutes, it makes the entire tell system impossible to use for me. I also enjoyed the preview of the Palace of the Dead, it was a rather enlightening explanation and I appreciated the rather thorough explanation of the system, I'm giving the first half of the letter a solid thumbs up.

What bothered me was the second half which could be summed up as "spend money." It was "buy the cait sith plush for a glamour item, buy tickets to the fanfest for minions and a special outfit of your choice, buy access to the stream for minions on top of getting both the outfits you can choose from," and "get ready to buy the moogle slippers for when it becomes a real item." When they said they had a special announcement I felt that I had to sit through the livestream to see the big deal only to see advertising for things. All of that info could have been on the Lodestone and they could have spent the livestream answering questions or gave us some sort of teaser for new stuff coming up.

I feel as though Yoshida's time shouldn't be spent on him talking about advertisements.

imo they should just do 1 LL around a month before the next patch and cover everything they are willing to show us. all those other LLs are basically a waste of time by now. they used to be much more entertaining and attention drawing.
Now it's mostly just "oh there was a live letter. let's check reddit and see what's new"

What? The PS3 is a decade old and in terms of gaming technology that is ancient. Furthermore considering Sony is doing a PS4.5, FF14 will likely be available on that as well and it will further the gap between the three systems at that point. SE can't continue to refine the game to work on such a old system when the system developers are pushing for more and more powerful systems.

Why not? I mean, what are they refining exactly? We're not asking for updated graphics or none of that. But simply more space. How in the world is PS3 unable to handle that? The PS2 could do that and more.

If you think its that easy, try to get the best weapon quickly (buying the kill doesn't count).

The average raidgroup is spending around 4-6 month for practising the fights, before they get their first raid weapon. And if you have no drop luck, you have to farm it for 8 weeks, before you can buy it with the tokens.

Sorry, I don't consider learning a dance to be particularly difficult when everything is practically spelled out for you down to the letter. Some might, but I find it neither challenging or fun. So yes, to me, it's not particularly rewarding. I vastly prefer grinds and actually working for my gear though, so there's that.

But its still not "on a silver platter" as you claim. Thats the point you still didn't got. You need to practise for many hours (the time sink is very similar to a grind). Its also possible to never reach the goal.

I'm so terribly sorry that my question regarding the housing situation and whether the selling of houses for an enormous amount of gil was against the ToS or not. But maybe you SHOULD look at all the questions asked in the threads before you make a complaint as my questions were among the top liked out of all questions with 51 likes on both the item count increase question and if it is or isn't against the ToS to sell houses for more than their intended price.

Heck, next time why not propose your own questions of what you want to see asked and answered? It's honestly not that hard to type out a simple question for you considering the amount of time you put in to type your original post.

But the questions I asked DID impede a section of the games play as several FC's would buy up multiple small/medium houses only to sell for sometimes 20 times their worth just to get rich and make the rest of the server miserable who only wanted to own a single house. How does it impeded gameplay? Airships, gardening, a simpler way to raise your chocobo, re-watch CS's, use the asethetician, access summoning bells and marketboards that don't have a ton of players around them. Just a few things that people won't get to do, due to the fact that FC's and other individuals took advantage of the lower pricing of the new houses so they could get richer than they already are.
