Allagan Tomestones after level 50?

So I'm still getting Allagan Tomestones after level 50. Are they good for anything now that I have better gear that what they could provide?
Also is there anything special I should focus on collecting for getting better gear once I hit 60?

Yes, tomestones are always useful.

Beyond the 130 gear, Poetics are used for relic quests, etc. And later you'll get Level 60 tomestones of esoterics and lore.

The daily random level 50 dungeon does not seem to be of any gear value any more for example.

start your relic weapon, look up items req. to upgrade it and save them or rather than letting the stones cap and go to waste, buy gear to trade in expert delivery @ your grand company for craft/gather exp scrolls,ventures.

Each dungeon has a pre-set pool of loot that it pulls its drops from, based on its level and approximate difficulty. The hardest level 50 dungeons stop at roughly ilvl 100 gear, so this stops being a good upgrade path by the low 50s. The lvl 50 roulette becomes more valuable for the experience, the poetics, and eventually the esos you get for doing it. Upgrades for now are crafted/quested, or from the 51-59 dungeons. Dont lose too much sleep over them(the level 59 dungeon is still only ilvl 148 drops). Level 60 is where the upgrades get really important again. You will need to get a boost in ilvl to continue questing dungeoning and raiding once you get there. You can get a headstart on this by hording some centurio seals(obtainable via a/s rank hunts and rank 1-3 bills from ishgard), and these can be turned in for ilvl 170/180 gear you can start using at level 60. Once you hit 60, you can start to get esoterics and lore tomestones, which are used to get even better gear. If you still have a hard time making pre-reqs, they made the first level 60 dungeon start rewarding 150 esos per run with the latest patch, so it shouldnt take TOO long to get into the higher tier. You may also want to start on the anima relic as soon as possible to get a weapon boost.

As for what you can do with poetics in the meantime, gear to trade in for company seals(or desynthesis) is one option. If you do plan to do the anima relic, you will eventually need a good load of unidentified items(20 each of 4 types as of this writing, though not until the 3rd stage in the quest so you would have already gotten an ilvl 200 weapon before needing this whole collection) so you can get a headstart on that quest too by stashing some in advance.
