Lobby Error 2002 when connecting to Aether Data Center (but no others).

I was in-game this morning working on the Moogle beast tribe rank 5 quest, when I disconnected in the middle of a craft with a 90002 error. I waited for friends to tell me when my character actually disconnected to try logging in again. However, every time it attempts to connect to the Aether data center and bring me to my character select, I receive the 2002 lobby error and client closes. I selected other data centers at the game start menu and it connects to them (I have no characters in any other data center). When attempting to reconnect to the Aether data center, again, I receive the same 2002 lobby error. Even after waiting 45 minutes to an hour, I am still having this error and am locked from connecting to my server & characters.

EDIT: Receive the same error when attempting to connect to the Primal data center and Chaos as well -- so I can only connect to the Japanese data centers.

Update: 3 and a half hours later, the error upon connecting to western data centers continues. I know it is not a congestion issue, as every friend, FC mate, and the like I speak to is able to connect just fine at the moment. I would assume it is some sort of routing error between the data centers and my ISP, but I can't say for certain. I would like to receive some assistance or have the issue resolved sometime today before maintenance. If waiting until maintenance (presumably) frees up my connection to western data centers is the only solution, that would be ridiculous in the future. Right now I am perma-locked with 2002.

    Steps taken:
    - Reset router & modem
    - Reset PC
    - Port forwarding
    - Relogging / Connecting to other Data Centers (can only connect to the Japanese ones)
    - Pinged NA IP and no packets were lost.
    - Followed every suggested step in this thread: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...rror-Code-2002

    Additional Info:
ISP: NextLight (exclusive to Longmont, Colorado, USA)

Am having the exact same issue for the past 2 days, I do not know if this is due to the servers or its something on my end, game was fine 2 days before the server repair, frankly its frustrating not being able to play while paying for it, but so far other mmos run fine no connection issues. Am sure its a problem with their servers.

@ Sanjoo: The issue, for me in particular, was a transmission error somewhere between my ISP and the Data Centers. I ended up taking my ticket to phone support and being walked through several additional steps and was even offered additional ports to use in port forwarding. They also seemed unable to ping / detect my IP address at the time, so I had to contact my ISP as well. It was a hassle, but it is now resolved. If the problem persists for you, I would try contacting Square Enix support over the phone as you get much faster help & results than waiting for email replies.

    Resolved.
