The pets would have to be a bit more intricate to the foundation of SMN's gameplay if they were to add more summon-types. Otherwise, garuda would still be the to-go due to its synergy with DWT and tri-disaster. The concept of DWT and aethertrail is fine, but they need to figure out just what kind of gameplay they want summoner to have, and this is true for pretty much every other job. By no means would you call SMN or MCH a "pet job" because of the very few interactions they have.
