Aquapolis solo?

Not sure if this is the right sub-forum but here goes:

Is being alone/with chocobo hindering portals from spawning? I've done ~10 maps with chocobo and no portal spawned. When I'm doing it with other people portals spawn often. I know this could just be RNG but I've really wanted to try soloing aquapolis.

It must be from a Dragonskin map. Chocobos do NOT affect the portal pop. RNG at its finest...

If the portal would have spawned I don't think you should go in solo. My FC mates and I got to the fifth floor with one healer and one tank with three dps. It does get a bit difficult.

We finished full aquapolis with 3 people (tank, healer, dps) easily. Not sure about solo though. Definitely possible with tank/healer combo, just time consuming.

It's very easy with just 4 people. It the enemies don't do much damage, with the exception or Arges (spelling?) that sometimes appears.

I think solo would take an extremely long time to kill all of the enemies and probably impossible as a caster class due to low survivability.

I know it has to be dragonskin maps and I don't care if it's hard or not, I just want to try doing it solo for the challenge (and the loot ). I just wanted to know if it's possible or not.

i just actually tried to do that, and what happened to me was i get 30 seconds in aquap. the mobs all run away, the game declares a duty failed, the mystery behind this is well, remains a mystery

Since you're level capped at 60 and ilvled capped at some number I don't remember off the top of my head, I don't think you can solo it. It's just annoying enough doing it with a tank/healer combo, but doable.

I’ve tried several times, and cleared the first floor once, and that was just barely. Used RDM every time.
