You didn't ask if you would be receiving your email 2 days from now or 2 days from when your product releases. That's very important information. But if others have confirmed you just have to preorder then best of luck to them. From my earlier post:
03:47 AM PDT Aphia: Well the problem is that it is a pre-order for a game that will not be released until February of 2017, however the Summer DLC Campaign is only going on until the 27th of this month.
03:48 AM PDT Dev: As I have check this for you and found that you will receive your code by email within 2 business days.
I clearly stated that the pre-order was for a game releasing in February of next year, but the campaign ends on the 27th of this month. It's impossible to have the code emailed to me two days from the ship date of the game when that's nearly a year away from the end of the promotion.
There's also this (from the eligibility requirements on the official SE site, amazon.com, and the OP):
The item codes are valid until December 31, 2016

So really just pre-order that copy of Skyrim - Special Edition that you know you're going to buy anyway, and get 6 items for Final Fantasy XIV
Basically. It's really no different than when games have pre-order incentives (keychain, cheap figurines, sometimes downloadable minigames like how Fable released the gambling mini games early). Sure you could get the stuff then cancel your pre-order, but most people are pre-ordering because they want the game; they aren't likely going to just drop it.

Thanks, Squeeny. That's some FFXI era segregation. The promotion was tailored to block the (snap!) "rest of the world".

I'm a little sad that not every video game has the promotion on it...Extra tricky for us Canadians. Go to .com, find something that will ship to us, AND with the promotion. MMMMM.
What people will do for a maid costume =^.^=
I got Sorcery Saga limited edition for Vita, it comes with a spoon!
There are tons of people that will be buying games on Amazon, that do not play ff14.
Might be a good bet to spread the word on popular sites, gamespot, gamefaqs, etc.
Ask if anyone does not need their code if they can share.

So would an item that is $19.99 work? Or do I need something over the $20 mark?

I'm pre-ording Rise of the Tomb Raider, the promotion is listed in the special promotions area for the item.
having a difficult time finding something I actually want that isn't a %^&* preorder.
