Hmmm...does this count toward the LIST price, or the PAID price? I'm looking at the ffx/x-2 remake and it has a list price off $19.99, but the price I end up paying is 19.88 for some reason. The promo is listed but...

Looks like the price went down before you bought it so you'd have to buy something else with it in order to get the promo codes. I hope I'm wrong and you get the codes though. Bit of a slimy move on their part.

There isn't a promotion page on Amazon. They just list XIV's promotion under "Promotions and Special Offers" on various Video Game-related product pages.

It's on the video game section, best bet is to pre-order a game from the E3 section as they have the promo. Should say "Spend $19.99 or more in the Amazon Video Games Category to receive six exclusive in-game items for "Final Fantasy XIV." You will receive your code by email within 2 business days." under special offers and promotions

I just contacted (and got transferred around a total of 5 times in the process) Amazon support to get all the details about what is and is not eligible for the promotion.

Digital games or game items (PSN cards, XIV timecards, etc) ARE NOT eligible, since according to Amazon these are not actually sold and "shipped" by Amazon.

Physical games ARE eligible as these are actually sold and shipped by Amazon.

Physical pre-orders SHOULD be eligible, for the same reason listed above for regular physical games. We'll probably have to see if this actually works, but I did notice a lot of pre-order only games have the promotion on their page.

Hopefully this helps people in choosing what to buy. I will personally be pre-ordering World of FF and and also ordering a regular physical 3DS game or something.
