So the codes do work now? I got one from Amazon and it said the code was invalid. I told Amazon this and they told me the promotion does not start til tomorrow.

Make sure to check to see if amazon.com also sells the item. Sometimes it will default to a 3rd party selling at a lower price. If you click where it says "53 New from $18.03" (numbers will vary per product) sometimes amazon will be hidden in there. Just add the amazon one to your cart and then go to the product's page from the link in your cart and it should show the promotion blurb at that point. Unfortunately for a lot of the older games, you're still going to run into only 3rd party sellers.

So I went onto the Canadian Amazon site and did not see anything about the promo. I go to the .com site and it comes up. Why no Canadian love? I'd rather not have to pay duty and extra shipping charges and would like to get the codes. Is it only at the main Amazon site then?

The promotion is only appearing at the .com site. Has anyone contacted the amazon.ca support to see if they're going to take part in the promotion?

I'm really confused about how this thing works. I have multiple games already pre-ordered on Amazon that have the code listed at the bottom. Would I have to cancel one and then order it again to get a code?

Try contacting support. Some people got their codes that way, even for items pre-ordered slightly before today.

Yes, they're not going to just tack on any promotions that come along during the pre-order. You have to order when the promotions are listed. Edit: But try what cupcake said, maybe they'll hand over the code instead of making it a further hassle. ^^
