ilevel 200+ help

I just wanted to know When it comes to getting ilevel 200+ gear what is the best place to do this. I have right now ilevel 205 gear for my MNK. I tried fighting Nedhoog, sorry about the spelling. Was avoiding his AOE's and I kept dying.
Everyone in my party had ilvl 230.

So my question is, is Alexander the best place to get ilevel 230 gear.

If so how long does it take to get all the right gear?

Well ilvl 230 gear is bought with the tomestones of Folklore or get Alexander Midas gear which is a ilvl220 gear.

you can buy crafted HQ 220 gear, fairly cheap now, or new dungeon stuff is 215 i think.
there's 220 Alexander, 230 city of mach. 230 tome stuff.

Do Midas normal mode as much as you can, get your weekly Weeping City of Mhach drop, and make sure to get 450 Lore tomes per week and buy the remaining pieces with that. Find people to run Nidhogg EX with so you can get a i235 weapon.

think i bought a bunch of stuff for 100-200k each. and it used to be 3-4mil...so it's cheap in comparison
but if you're fairly new, then ya it's probably to much.
don't know if there's still weekly lock on alex prototype gear, otherwise you need to mix'n'match alex, mhach, ark, tome, dungeon stuff. at leas that should get you to around 215-220. i'd suggest getting accessories from tomes then, cause the only other alternative is the expensive HQ stuff from market (unless lock is removed from midas)

The midas now doesnt have anymore the lockout, so if you farm it, you can get a whole set 220, depending on the luck of your rolls.

What's seph? also what's Midas? I need a reminder and where do you go to unlock weeping city? Sorry for all my questions.

Alexander MIDAS is the set of 4 raids named "Of Son"
I don't think Sephiroth Ex is good for you, just do the Alexander Midas (not Goridas, that one gives 190 stuff)
