With all the nerfes, when I decided to do one just to see how it was, I had it in a week's time °___°

The Animus books are by far the grindiest part of the old relic. Just keep at it, don't burn yourself out and maybe only task yourself with doing only 1 book a day?
When I finished my Animus phase it took me less than a day to get to the Zodiac phase. The rest of the relic past the books is a breeze to finish.
Tip: Sastasha/Tam Tara unsync are the fastest light you will get. If you run one and it doesn't have bonus, switch to the other.

I work 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, 7.5 hours a day technically cause i have to take a 30 minute break, and I only get 2 days off, so how did you do it so easily? The Animus books are by far the grindiest part of the old relic. Old relic quest used to be a lot tougher ( lower chance drops from fates, having to kill 10 of each enemy for the book part instead of three, drops at the end of the dungeon weren't guaranteed so you'd spend the whole day farming a single item, and the amount of light gathered per dungeon was lower I think.)
Do a little each day and you can have it done in a month I think. It can probably be done in 10 days if you can push ( and also if you've got some crafting friends to help you with that part, or at least the gil to buy the items yourself.)
By doing what I said. 12 books, 12 days. I was working the same hours you do when I was tackling the ARR relic. It takes about an hour per book, if you're lucky with FATE spawns. Do the dungeons unsynced with a friend, they take no time at all.
Group the tasks per area. Say you have a FATE, 3 sets of mobs, and a leve quest all in the same area, do them all before moving on to the next area. It saves pointless teleporting everywhere.
Its made to be a time sink and a way to help bring traffic to old content. We pretty much become employees for them and our reward is a shiny weapon that will be a downgrade after several or a few months. That and some ppl actually think grinding is fun.

Last I recall the relic weapon is here to reward people taking time to do it
If the ground is so huge it's because it's suppose to take time to have it
And I agree the atma book are the most boring part but they are now extremely easier to achieve and cost nothing
The light part are also insanely fun because you just have to farm sastacha lv15 in 3 min again and again, then 1h later your weapon is ready XD

Some are saying it's easy because it is. Before any nerf whatsoever some of us it had taken 4 months or more of grinding fates for the 12 atma, the dungeon drop stage was better but still very bad, also light was rather long. Now it's a breeze.
The book stage, and not even kidding here fates would take up to 3 hrs to spawn. So 4+ months, compaired to now max 2 weeks
Current Anima Relic because can add some custom stats is 2nd best weapon atm for most if not all jobs with the weapon from Savage being the best.

Because it is a Relic.
Something that is so valuable that it is unique in look, upgrade-able through several stages, has its own lore and cutsenes and its own unique set of items that are developed only to get a relic weapon.
It takes time and effort because time and effort went into implementing them, and its a valuable tool to keep older content running here and there.
