Thread: 3.3 Crafting Newbie Asking for Tips

As I always wanted to catch up with crafters but my lack of money didn't allow me to with the new patch I managed to get some full red (now blue) scrip armors and start crafting some star recipes mostly because of the profit I could get by crafting endgame things.

I am at a point where I can 100% craft HQ 1 star things, like Pterodactyl Leather, by using a simple rotation. I have no clue how to craft 2 stars, no clue which materias to meld and on which piece.

Apart from the above, I am currently on Pheonix and MB is greatly unstable. Will it be worth to craft and sell things? Other than selling what else can I get out of endgame crafting?

I am at a complete loss so I decided to ask you people for some guidance and tips since probably you are way more experienced than me. Thank you all in advance.

Play around there. Try to get the most out of your meldable pieces, but be sure to include maxing out on the CP!

Do you have all 8 crafting classes up high, 50+ (54+ in the case of GSM)? If so, then you should look up Rath's Rotation. Do not try to macro it, as you will need to react on the fly. This should give you a very good idea about how to craft 2 star and 3 star recipes. It may take a few attempts though (so be sure to practice on something easy to get the materials for, such as Camphor) to get everything down pat, such as how many steps you can take, not counting the Comfort Zone-Steady Hand-Piece by Piece-Piece by Piece set, that are not successful Flawless Synthesis actions.

Eternius, I was largely in the same position, but managed to figure out how to make myself the carbonweave gear. I'm also on Phoenix so can meet ingame about the matter if you want For the record my CP was sitting at 351 at the time.
